    Feeling Things with Amy & Kat is a podcast for anyone who’s ever had feelings—or wants to. Hosted by Amy Brown and therapist Kat Van Buren, this is a space where nothing is off-limits. From deep reflections on childhood to pop culture obsessions to what’s happening in the world, all feelings deserve a seat at the table—big, small, awkward, joyful, confusing, and everything in between. At its core, it’s real friends having real conversations about real feelings. Some episodes go deep, some stay light, but all are rooted in curiosity, honesty, and connection. Amy shares a quote that motivated her to turn her day around and she also has a motivational tidbit from a 3-year-old that we all can learn from! Yes, a 3-year-old is wiser than us!!! THIRD THING: Amy sits down with Hunter Mobley (@enneagramhunter) again to talk more about the enneagram...specifically the wings of each number! No one is just their core number...we all have wings...and one of the two numbers adjacent to your core number is called your wing!! Hunter breaks this down and why it's helpful to know your wing! FOURTH THING: Cold showers are amazing for you (as covered in a previous episode)...but hot showers have benefits too!! FIRST THING: Nicole Modic (@KaleJunkie) is back on to discuss the recovery side of her eating disorder and how she was able to heal her relationship with food. SECOND THING: Mom comparison is real. Working moms vs. stay at home moms. Amy shares a quick little post from Jessica Honegger’s instagram page (@JessicaHonegger) about how ALL MOMS matter...the working ones + the ones that are able to volunteer and do all the things at school because they don’t have a job. THIRD THING: Are you a YES PERSON??? Then you need to hear this. Amy talks with counselor + life coach, Kim Anderson, (@kim_anderson_life) about the power of saying no and creating boundaries in your life. It really is freeing. So listen to this and take notes. FORTH THING: Did you know that a group wrote songs for each enneagram??? Yep. Apparently, when you hear the song that is your number...you will get really emotional.     First thing: This is part 1 of Amy’s talk with Nicole Modic (@KaleJunkie) about her love-hate relationship with her body, and how she measured her self-worth based on her physical appearance. All of this led to a long battle with compulsive eating & bulimia, that lasted through her teenage years, law school, and even in her career as a lawyer. However, true healing is possible, she is living proof of it! Second things: Adam Bobo of @AreteNashville is back to talk through the benefits of Intermittent Fasting. Amy learned that she has likely been going too many hours without food...as Bobo explains that the time frame without food should be different for men and women. Third thing: If you have kids that are fighting...you NEED to know about the “Get Along Shirt.” It could be just the thing you need to get your kids to make up as quickly as possible. Fourth thing: Amy talks with fellow radio friend Carla Marie (@theCarlaMarie) about being a female in a male dominated field and how women can often be misunderstood.

    FIRST THING: Amy went over 8 tips that @KaleJunkie shared at a recent talk about body image. If you have struggles with food and loving your body...try to implement some of these things (well, all of them if you can) to start moving in the right direction. SECOND THING: Have you ever taken a cold shower? After you hear Amy share the benefits...you’re likely going to want to start taking them daily. THIRD THING: Would you walk 6 miles for a donut? Celeb trainer @ErinOprea does stuff like that all of the time when visiting new cities. Summer travels will start soon for a lot of you, so Amy had Erin on to share how to stay healthy while traveling but working in “balance” so you still have fun. FOURTH THING: Amy recently shared that she finally picked up Josie’s ashes...her dog that had to be put to sleep last year because cancer had taken its toll. She got some notes from people asking how she prepared for that from people with dogs that are old or sick...so Amy shared some ways you can prepare for the loss of your dog.
