Presenting: Divorce Ranch Sep 18, 2024

Show notes

Hello detectives! We are about to wrap recordings on season 2--in fact, we invite you to join us on September 28th as we take over the Fable and Folly Instagram account and take you inside our final recording of the season!

In the meantime, however, we want to invite you to check out a fantastic show called Divorce Ranch! Not only is Divorce Ranch a full cast, grand-scale whodunit, and not only is it a show that toes the line between comedy and drama, and not only is it a contained, under-3-hour story with a second season soon to come—it also takes an irreverent look at history that is both authentic and fresh, with new, modern perspectives on a the past about the people who get left in the margins of history. For listeners of Fawx & Stallion that like any and all of those things in our show, we think you will love Divorce Ranch. In fact, we’re so sure of it that we’re sharing their first episode on the feed today. From our detectives to theirs, we hope you enjoy.

Presenting: Sorry About The Murder Jul 30, 2024

Show notes

Hello detectives! We are past the halfway point of our recordings for season 2 of Fawx & Stallion, and can’t wait to share this brand new mystery later this year! In the meantime, though, we wanted to share another show on our network, Fable & Folly, with you—today, we’re happy to showcase the first episode of Sorry About the Murder. The show is a murder mystery fiction podcast set in the nice little Canadian town of Beavermount, Ontario. Every day in the nice little Canadian town of Beavermount, Ontario, a Zamboni driver must solve a grisly murder to clear his name…and ready the ice for that night’s hockey game. It feels a bit like Murder She Wrote meets Death By Dying, wrapped up in an incredibly fun mystery. So today, we hope you enjoy episode one of Sorry about the Murder!

Mini-Mystery: The Case of the Missing Magician Apr 17, 2024

Show notes

Hello detectives--something different today! To celebrate our crowdfund, we decided to run what we call a Solve-A-Thon–we ran a series of five polls on our social media accounts over the weekend so that you, the listeners, could help us craft a mystery–we asked you to select a client, a crime, a location, an object, and a clue, which you so generously did. Then, on Sunday and Monday, we wrote this mini-mystery, and last night, Tuesday, we recorded it with the fantastic Jeremy Thompson (Hampton Fawx). Today, it arrives to you, hand crafted by the listeners, for the listeners, the result of a marathon of deduction!
