The first major 2027 fantasy baseball draft is in the books, and the results are already turning heads.
Joe Orrico is joined by FTN Fantasy’s Mike Mager, a back-to-back NFBC auction champion and one of the most accomplished players in high-stakes fantasy baseball, to break down the 2027 Meatball Draft and what it could tell us about next season’s fantasy baseball rankings and ADP.
Pete Crow-Armstrong went No. 1 overall ahead of Shohei Ohtani, Bobby Witt Jr. and Aaron Judge, while Jacob Misiorowski emerged as the first starting pitcher selected. Joe and Mike debate whether PCA belongs at the 1.01, how early pitchers should go in 2027 drafts, and whether breakout seasons from Jordan Walker and CJ Abrams justify first-round prices.
They also dig into Konnor Griffin’s aggressive second-round selection, Gunnar Henderson’s bounce-back potential, Paul Skenes’ surprising fall, Gerrit Cole’s 2027 value and some fascinating discounts on former fantasy superstars.
Which early ADPs are legitimate, which picks were reaches, and where should you start targeting the biggest bargains for 2027? This is your first look at how expert fantasy baseball players are valuing next season’s player pool.
