    Faith and Family Fellowship

After nearly a decade on the mission field, Pastor Christopher Buscher felt led to produce his very first podcast episode called: The Insufficiency of Christ: when Jesus isn’t enough. At a quick glance, this title might seem blasphemous in every way possible. However, after listening to only a few minutes of the episode you’ll completely change your mind. Late one night from Des Moines Iowa, Pastor Chris opened his heart filled with fears, doubts, and a heavy burden for all to hear. He finished the podcast episode with a prayer and a hope for the future of all to hear the Gospel message. Within a few short months, the podcast grew in popularity and a second studio was commissioned in Sao Paulo, Brazil. This second studio would be the home of the co-host and forerunner of Lay Me Down Ministries, Dallas O. Monticue. Together both Pastor Chris and Dallas form an excellent and exciting team from two separate studios thousands of miles apart. Faith & Family Fellowship is a Christ-centered podcast established in 2019 and hosted weekly by Pastor Chris Buscher and Dallas Monticue. Addressing a host of topics such as; The Great Commission, Christian Discipleship, and often featuring interviews with special guests who are experts in their field.

Welcome to the River: Interview with David Liscum Sep 19, 2019

    Welcome to the River

    Interview with David Liscum

House of Peace Releases ‘Welcome to the River’

(Nashville, TN.) House of Peace is pleased to announce the release of the band’s highly-anticipated new, full-length project, Welcome to the River from Rex Records. Welcome to the River features 13 songs, which were written and produced by leading member David Liscum. This is the first time Liscum has served in the producer role on a full-length project from the group. Welcome to the River a follow-up to Into the Great Unknown.

" I took my time writing and producing the album. I really wanted to dig deep. When we’re in a good place with the Lord, we tend to think of spiritual mountain tops, like when we got saved, or what God has brought us through, so some of the songs reflect on those moments. Other songs inspire and help us to focus on God's presence with references to the Holy Spirit guiding and directing us,” Liscum said. He continued, " I never envisioned I would be producing the entire album, but after I finished the first song, I found out how much I loved the process. Although, it can be a tremendous amount of work.”

Behind the Mask Pictures with Jessica Jones

Behind the Mask Pictures wants your story! They are reaching out to the people to hear their stories. The problem with most Christian movies is they are made for Christians. They don’t appeal to the unchurched or those who have run from a bad church experience. To the many who need to hear the Truth. They feel there are stories, testimonies, out there that will touch hearts and change lives… if only those stories were heard and seen. Christians flock to Christian movies but they already know what the world needs.

So, what’s your story? We all have one and they want to make your story into a featured film using Biblical principles to convict, not condemn. This is a chance to have the testimony of what God has done in your life help others. In an interesting, compelling way.

Behind the Mask Pictures is running a contest to find the best story. The film industry is crying out for something new. The winning story will be awarded $1000 cash and a share in the Opening and Closing credits as creator.
Everyone has a story. What’s yours?

From Seminary School to Murder Mystery Novelist: William Turner's Interview Aug 24, 2019
    Show notes

From Seminary School to Murder Mystery Novelist

    William Turner's Interview

William Turner spent his formative years in New England. He was educated in the private, parochial school system, and is presently retired from State service (State of California), as a supervisor. He has one son (Ontonio), and three grandchildren. His grandson is serving in the United States Air Force. His daughter-in-law, Bridgette, is a practicing pediatrician.

William had aspired--so long ago--to be a priest but felt at the time he had not been exposed enough to life to walk away and close the monastery door. His subsequent exposure to life sullied him beyond any aspiration to the priesthood. William now lives in Lancaster, California, spending much of his time doing penance, reflecting on his countless errors in judgment.

William's penchant for writing mysteries stems from his exposure to Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's stories and those of Agatha Christie. His mentor was Sister Agnes Bernard--his high school English teacher.

Musician, Counselor, and Friend of God: Brady Novotny Aug 20, 2019
    Show notes

Brady Novotny started playing the guitar at the age of 10. Determined to be a world-class guitarist, he left his first guitar lesson with his instructor telling him basically to give it up now. Thus he was introduced to criticism and disappointment early in his endeavor. Nevertheless, Brady heard a guitar player that would motivate him to push all that aside and re-energize his passion to continue; that guitar player was Randy Rhoads. Brady soon fell in love with classical and melodic guitar playing. Brady practiced restlessly learning everything from classical pieces, melodic and virtuosic solos from 80's guitar heroes, to jazz fusion.

Brady loved the guitar, and truly, that has been his passion. He attended Berklee College of Music for a little time. At the age of 19, he was asked to teach the summer guitar workshop at Duquesne University. As life often happens, however, Brady got burned out and went back to school and received his Masters in Psychology. Yep, that's right -- Psychology. But the passion is back and stronger than ever, plus it never hurts to have some money!

Brady set out to do an instrumental project that would have his listeners singing the haunting melodies while holding their attention by uniquely placed guitar virtuosity and dynamic rhythms creating a fusion of rock, flamenco, and jazz. His love for a variety of musical styles led him to study under many teachers in his life. Brady started out playing Classical guitar at the age of 10. Ever since then, Brady has had a strong affection for nylon string guitar sound. Ultimately, this led him to study Flamenco guitar. He immediately fell in love with the passion, virtuosity, and rhythm of this style. The shred of the ’80s was one of his main influences and guilty pleasures, while Jazz was a big influence on Brady’s chordal choices and song color.

Brady has a wide range of experience in the music business. His experience ranges from the Pittsburgh rock scene to national tours. He has worked as a Pittsburgh session guitarist, Worship leader, and guitarist at several mega-churches. He has also taught guitar at clinics and universities.

His 2019 release with MTS Management Group/MTS Records is “Passions Collide” featuring the lead single, “Redemption’s Cry.” The song, featuring a hauntingly beautiful vocal from Brady’s wife, Jennifer, is currently charting on the Airplay Today national radio charts.

National recording artist Christine Storm has performed throughout the world, has been a prolific songwriter, and continues to tap into her wide range of life experiences for her music. Christine’s influences range from Alice Cooper to Blood, Sweat, and Tears, all the way across the spectrum to Kate Bush and Prince. Her sound has been described as an eclectic blend of Soul and Techno dance with melodies that are Pop driven. Many of her songs tell a story and confront real-life feelings and attitudes, but with a humorous touch in many cases.

“I would describe myself as sarcastic and eclectic! I love the escapism of music and how it can change the mood of a person, but at the same time, be so damn fun,” states Christine.

No stranger to the stage, Christine has performed throughout North America, Europe, and the Mediterranean region. Regardless of the culture, her audience represents, the passion and wit she brings to her show engages them with ease. An escape for many, Christine’s seasoned vocals and playful personality have the power to change the mood in a room within seconds.

In front of and behind the camera, Christine actively holds the creative reigns, steering a wide range of feelings, characters, and storylines directly from her music to the screen. Whether her audience is listening in the car, watching a music video, or seeing her live show, what drives Christine’s creative process is her goal for everyone to move, have some fun, and even think a little. These take-away moments have fueled word-of-mouth buzz for Christine that lead to performances at various charity and private events where industry players such as breakthrough pioneer artist Malina Moye, and Rock & Roll icon Mike Love, have become fans.

    Real Revival

Lord, let it begin in me!

We live in a day and age where most Christian throw around this fancy word "revival" without truly knowing what it is or where it comes from. We use it to describe tent meetings or extended Church services but what does it truly mean and how can we be sure it exists?
