After nearly a decade on the mission field, Pastor Christopher Buscher felt led to produce his very first podcast episode called: The Insufficiency of Christ: when Jesus isn’t enough. At a quick glance, this title might seem blasphemous in every way possible. However, after listening to only a few minutes of the episode you’ll completely change your mind. Late one night from Des Moines Iowa, Pastor Chris opened his heart filled with fears, doubts, and a heavy burden for all to hear. He finished the podcast episode with a prayer and a hope for the future of all to hear the Gospel message. Within a few short months, the podcast grew in popularity and a second studio was commissioned in Sao Paulo, Brazil. This second studio would be the home of the co-host and forerunner of Lay Me Down Ministries, Dallas O. Monticue. Together both Pastor Chris and Dallas form an excellent and exciting team from two separate studios thousands of miles apart. Faith & Family Fellowship is a Christ-centered podcast established in 2019 and hosted weekly by Pastor Chris Buscher and Dallas Monticue. Addressing a host of topics such as; The Great Commission, Christian Discipleship, and often featuring interviews with special guests who are experts in their field.

In this episode of Faith and Family Fellowship, Dallas interviews Alyssa Hunt from Ascending Music. Alyssa is a music artist who has releases her very first EP this year and is releasing a new single December 20th.
Alyssa is a homeschool mother, a housewife/Domestic Engineer and a the foster mother to her 3 grand children. She is a worship leader at her church, The Crosspoint in Saint Louis, MO and she volunteers in her community. Alyssa is also tackling her so-called bucket list and doing things she has always wanted to do. Releasing the music she has written is a dream come true.

"I have always seen myself as a little bird with a severely broken wing. A product of a broken and unstable family with trauma that followed me well into my adulthood. I grew up believing that the color of my skin was shameful. I grew up believing that I was the product of my dysfunctional environment and I grew up trying to prove that I wasn't what happened to me as a child. I could not find my voice. With every traumatic event and with every painful step of my journey, I learned how to overcome. As a behavior analyst with over 20 years experience, as a first generation college graduate; as a loving mother; as a doting wife; and as a compassionate friend who cares deeply about the connections that I have in my life; I have had to learn how to shape a future that I never had a model to replicate. I learned skills to heal my wounds through the love that other people gave me. This was critical in my self-development. Risen Vision is a comic book business where they are sharing their vision with the world while giving God the glory. Andy is a 42 year Presbyterian Minister who serves a small congregation in Angel Fire, NM. Away from church, he is a passionate snowboarder, mountain biker, and adventure racer. He has two children and is married to a health and wellness coach. In 2008, Andy competed on American Gladiators where he reached the semifinals. In 2015, he competed on Ninja Warrior. In 2019, he also competed on the CBS Show Million Dollar Mile. Before becoming a minister, Andy worked and performed as a standup comedian. This fall, he released his first book, "Born to Backslide". The book records his struggles with faith, comedy, academics, athletics, and love life.

In this episode of Faith and Family Fellowship, Dallas interviews President and Founder of International College for Christian Studies, Jason McLendon.
The Great Commission is a necessity for all Christians. In line with this, International College for Christian Studies proudly announces their tuition free offer for all military personnel (Active, Reserve, Guard, or veteran) and first responders (law enforcement, fire, and medical) from all nations. ASCENSION: The Rise Of Tyre with Author Michael V. Gordon Nov 11, 2020

In this episode of Faith and Family Fellowship, Dallas interviews techno thriller author Michael V. Gordon on his newest release, "Ascension".
Even as a young child Michael was always conjuring up stories and filling them with colorful characters. As he entered his post-teenage years it became apparent that religion proved to be fascinating as it contained three subjects that he enjoyed most - God, history, and science. In college, he served as a photojournalist and even interviewed a few celebrities. Back in those days, he had to type his stories on a typewriter and develop his own photos in a darkroom.

Michael always enjoyed reading, particularly thrillers and non- fiction. Of special interest were various versions of the Bible, as well as other religious works. Like many people, he dreamed of one day writing his own books and finally decided to take the plunge. Michael released his first non-fiction work Tainted DNA in June 2019.
