    It’s time to get cheesy.

The No. 13 Florida State Seminoles (9-3, 5-3 ACC) are headed to Cheez-It Bowl to face off against the Oklahoma Sooners (6-6, 3-6), the first postseason game of head coach Mike Norvell’s tenure in Tallahassee.

FSU last faced off against the Sooners in 2011, a 23-13 loss for the Seminoles. Oklahoma leads the all-time series 6-1.

It’s FSU’s first game vs. a Big 12 opponent since its 2014 season opener vs. the Oklahoma State Cowboys.

Florida State vs. Oklahoma kicks off Thursday, December 29 at 5:30 p.m. ET at Camping World Stadium and will be broadcast live on ESPN.

“I am so excited for our team to be selected to play in the Cheez-It Bowl,” head coach Mike Norvell said. “They have earned this opportunity through hard work, toughness and resiliency this whole year, and I’m incredibly grateful to have one more opportunity to be on the field coaching this year’s team. We are looking forward to this matchup and the opportunity to continue on our CLIMB as a program.”

STATE CHAMPS: FSU beats UF, finishes 9-3 -- Florida State Seminoles football season analysis, breakdown, bowl discussion Nov 29, 2022
    Show notes

With another high-scoring performance against an in-state rival, the Florida State Seminoles put the finishing touches on a remarkable nine-win season that will see them end the regular season in the top 15 of the College Football Playoff rankings.

The Noles were able to outduel the Florida Gators’ A-game without playing their best to send them back to Gainesville as losers.

So how was Florida State able to win the shootout without their best offensive effort? How were they able to right the ship following the three-game losing streak in October? And how should Noles fans feel about the program after completing a nine-win season?

The Seminole Wrap crew — Brian Pellerin, Jon Marchant and Max Escarpio — break it all down in this week’s episode of the show. Plus, they each give their thoughts on an ideal bowl opponent and location to close out the 2022 season with the hopes of getting to 10 wins.

FSU vs. UF: How do Seminoles and Gators stack up? Preview, analysis, breakdown feat. Richard Johnson of Split Zone Duo/Sports Illustrated/SEC Network Nov 23, 2022
    Show notes

No. 16 Florida State (8-3, 5-3 ACC) and the Florida Gators (6-5, 3-5 SEC) are set to face off in a Friday primetime matchup in Tallahassee, with each team looking to add a solid momentum mover in the regular season finale.

FSU comes into the game with an outside chance at making the Orange Bowl (should Clemson make the College Football Playoff) and a blowout win over one rival already under its belt. Meanwhile, Florida has had a roller coaster of a year that kicked off with an upset win at home vs. Utah but only two wins vs. SEC East competition. The team’s most recent loss, a head-scratcher to the Vanderbilt Commodores, highlighted a good majority of the issues that have plagued the Gators all season long.

On this week’s episode of the Line of Scrimmage (where each week we give you insight into Florida State’s opponents from those in the know) we spoke with Richard Johnson of Split Zone Duo, Sports Illustrated, and SEC Network. What has Billy Napier been focused on as he looks to establish himself in Gainesville? What does Anthony Richardson bring to the table for the Gators’ offense and what are his weak points? How will Friday play out?

FSU gets QB commit -- Instant reaction analysis after blue-chip quarterback Brock Glenn commits to Florida State Seminoles Nov 21, 2022
    Show notes

The Florida State Seminoles football team has shown vast improvement on the field, and it’s being noticed by recruits, including their latest commitment, four-star quarterback Brock Glenn, a flip from Ohio State.

The 6’2, 195 pound Glenn attends Lausanne Collegiate School in Memphis, and has a four-star rating from the 247 Sports Composite List. The sites consider him the 378th best player in his class (22nd best QB and 12th best player in Tennessee). Norvell leaned hard on his Memphis connections when recruiting Glenn and his family, and the Seminole staff kept in contact with the gunslinger despite his verbal commitment to OSU. That persistence paid off in a big way today, as the ‘Noles finally have their QB for #Tribe23.

Glenn, who officially visited Florida State in June, also checked out the Auburn Tigers and TCU Horned Frogs, before eventually choosing Ohio State. He holds 30+ offers from teams such as the Cincinnati Bearcats, Duke Blue Devils, Illinois Fighting Illini, Indiana Hoosiers, Kansas Jayhawks, Kentucky Wildcats, LSU Tigers, Michigan State Spartans, Minnesota Gophers, Mississippi State Bulldogs, Missouri Tigers, Oklahoma State Cowboys, Pittsburgh Panthers, Virginia Cavaliers, and Virginia Tech Hokies.

The Three Stars got together for another instant reaction edition of the Florida State of Recruiting podcast to discuss the 2022 quarterback commitment. On this episode, we break down FSU’s newest addition to #Tribe23 and what he can bring to the Seminole QB room.

But the fun does not stop there, as we give our thoughts on how the class could finish, while discussing future recruiting ramifications, as well, with a strong finish to the season.

The Florida State of Recruiting (FSoR) Podcast features the Three Stars: Josh Pick, Tim Alumbaugh, and David Stout. And if you can’t get enough Florida State in your life, check out our “Tomahawk Nation” podcast family.

As always, check out all the latest recruiting updates in the official Tomahawk Nation recruiting thread.

FSU wins 4th straight, gets new ranking ahead of game vs. Florida Gators -- latest Florida State Seminoles football analysis, breakdown, discussion Nov 21, 2022
    Show notes

Florida State Seminoles football, a week out from a primetime rivalry matchup vs. the Florida Gators, took care of business against the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns to move to 8-3 (5-3 ACC) on the season.

It was FSU’s fourth-straight victory of 25-plus points, a run that has solidified the team with two games left on the docket — next Friday and the Seminoles’ eventual postseason destination.

Florida has had an up-and-down first season under new head coach Billy Napier. After upsetting Utah to start the season to earn a No. 12 ranking, the Gators dropped games to Kentucky and Tennessee to stumble out of the rankings and have struggled to find a consistent level of play from an offense led by preseason potential first-round pick Anthony Richardson.

What has led to FSU's win streak? What can we expect from the Seminoles vs. Gators matchup? Max Escarpio and Jon Marchant break it down on this week's episode of the Seminole Wrap.
