A Prayer to Notice the Unnoticed
Jesus shows us the beauty of valuing the least, the last, and the overlooked.
In today's episode, Nicolet Bell will help us explore how His actions teach us to extend friendship beyond our comfort zones—inviting the lonely, the outcast, and those who are different into our circles. Plus, we’ll pray for our children to grow up seeking friendships that reflect Jesus’s love and intentionality.
    Reference: John 2:9-11

Prayer: Father, help our children to value friendships with those who are lonely or outcast. Help them to notice the ones unnoticed and to invite them into the circle. Allow us to model this type of friendship for them. Guard our hearts from only seeking relationships that benefit us, and help us to see people around us the way that you see them. Amen.

A Prayer to See Friendship as Circles
How can we encourage our kids to form healthy friendships? Well, we use Jesus’ own friendships as a model. In this episode by Tara L. Cole, we reflect on how not every relationship needs to be a close one, and that’s okay.
    Reference: Matthew 17: 1-2

Prayer: Father, please help us to find close friends who draw our children to you. Help them to be these kinds of friends for others. In Jesus' name, amen.

A Prayer to Wait with Expectation
    Reference:
    Psalm 37:7

How do we wait silently and expectantly for God to move—especially when circumstances feel devastating. Inspired by Psalm 37:7, the episode dives into the raw moments of life when all we can do is wait, and trust that God is still at work. It serves as a reminder that God uses all things—even heartbreak—for our good.

Prayer Father, I know it takes time to build trust. Please gently build that in me and in my children so that we can be silent and wait expectantly for you to move. In Jesus' name, Amen.

    A Prayer for Godly Counsel
    Reference:
    Proverbs 27:9
They say that it takes a village to raise a child, but have you ever put much thought into that village? In today's episode of Everyday Prayers, we are reminded of the powerful example of Moses in Exodus 18 and how even great leaders need wise counsel and support. Likewise, our children benefit greatly from friendships and mentorships outside of mom and dad—godly men and women who can guide them when we can't.

Prayer Lord, bring our children friends who give godly counsel. In Jesus name, amen.

A Prayer to Let God Clean You from the Inside Out
    Reference:
    Ephesians 6:12-13

How does spiritual warfare intersects with the everyday struggles of parenting?
Today's prayer offers encouragement for moms who feel overwhelmed by anger, frustration, or emotional triggers. Instead of accepting defeat or justifying our reactions, we’re reminded that our true battle isn’t with our children—or even ourselves—but with spiritual forces that seek to steal our peace. Through Christ, we are already victorious, and we’re invited to parent from that place of strength, clothed in the full armor of God.

Prayer Jesus, thank you that we don’t need to struggle against flesh and blood. Our children and our own selves are not the enemy. Help us to put on the full armor of God today, so that when we’re tempted to live in defeat, we can be reminded that we are cleaned by the blood of the Lamb. We are also clothed in God’s own armor and can stand our ground, knowing that You have already won this battle on our behalf. Change us to be more like you, help us grow, and help us remain in the hope that You are transforming us. In Jesus’ name, amen

A Prayer for Your Children to Know You'll Never Stop Loving Them
    Reference:
    Romans 2:4

How can we better parent strong-willed children?
Only with the powerful role of God’s kindness in leading us—and our children—to repentance.
Today's episode reminds us that prioritizing relationship over behavior correction and learning to love our children harder than they fight us. Grounded in Romans 2:4, this episode offers encouragement and perspective for parents feeling overwhelmed and unsure of how to guide their children well.

Prayer Father, thank you for your great kindness. Thank you, Lord, for bringing us to repentance because of it. I pray today, Lord, that you would help us to show that same kindness to our children, help us to fight for them, Lord, and may they know that there is nothing they could ever do that would make us not love them. In Jesus' name, amen.

A Prayer to Trust What We Can't See
    Reference:
    Ephesians 5:2

This powerful reminder invites moms to step back from the urge to control and speak hastily, and instead to rest in God’s sovereignty. When we acknowledge God's position and wisdom, it helps shape our worship, words, and prayers. Be encouraged to surrender control, model humility for their children, and find peace in God's complete knowledge—even when life feels uncertain or chaotic.

Prayer Lord, it's so easy for me to forget how little control I have and how limited my knowledge is. I get busy working out details and arranging schedules and somehow I can begin to think I'm actually in charge. Forgive me for all the little ways I tried to sit on your throne. Would you gently remind me of who you are and who I am? And as you move in me and in my family, Father, I'll be careful to give you all the glory. In Jesus' name, amen.

    A Prayer for Church Hurt
    Reference:
    Psalm 94:19

Can we truly find joy and comfort in God's promises even in moments of suffering, even suffering caused by another believer?

Today's prayer is a reminder that we can cling to God's truth in the face of oppression and remember that while Satan seeks to divide the church, God's Word is our anchor. Through scripture and prayer, we are encouraged to resist the temptation to withdraw from God and instead seek comfort, healing, and strength in His Word.

Prayer Father, I so easily become anxious and look for ways that I can control what's going on around me. Yet all I need to do is simply lift my eyes to you and offer you my anxiety. Thank you for the reminder in Psalm 46 -10 to be still and know that you are God. For your word is the only place that I find comfort and refreshment. Your consolation brings me joy in the midst of difficult circumstances. In Jesus' name, amen.
