This miracle serves as a powerful illustration of how spiritual growth often unfolds over time. Just as the disciples’ understanding of Jesus deepened step by step, our own faith—and the faith of our children—develops progressively, not all at once.

Prayer: Jesus, thank You for walking with me daily through this journey of life. I know I need Your gentle reminders that developing maturity takes time for both me and my children. Give me patience as I work through the challenges of each day. Help me to release my frustration to You when I wish I were farther along in my spiritual walk than I am and to trust in Your faithfulness to transform me into Your likeness. In Your name, amen.

Through personal stories—including a lesson from kids’ soccer trophies—we explore how jealousy separates us, while love and gratitude draw us closer to God and one another.

A Prayer for an Open Door

Today’s episode by Abby Kuykendall, we explore the beauty of opening our doors, fingerprints and all, and welcoming others the way Christ welcomes us. From Zacchaeus’ messy house to Matthew’s table full of “disreputable sinners,” Scripture reminds us that hospitality is about grace, not performance.

Prayer: Lord, you see the hearts of every mom juggling laundry, dinner, errands and little hands tugging at her all at once. You know the weight we carry when we feel like we have to do it all and do it perfectly. But you remind us in Hebrews 12, one, to lay aside every weight and sin

which clings so closely and to run with endurance the race that is set before us. Today we choose to throw off the heavy cloak of perfection that entangles us and instead fix our eyes on you. Our hospitable Lord who has prepared a table for us and invited us in. Teach us to work diligently, not for the applause, but out of love for you. Help us to see that an open heart matters more than a perfect home and that every act of service is holy when it's done for you. Let our homes be places of peace, our tables be places of welcome, and our lives a reflection of your open armed grace. In Jesus' name, amen.

Often, our prayers as parents can feel reactive—born out of desperation in the middle of tantrums, challenges, or long days. But what if prayer became our proactive response instead of our last resort? That’s the invitation of today’s episode: to return to the heart of Million Praying Moms—praying God’s Word faithfully and intentionally over our children

Prayer: Father, help us to not be afraid to pray bold prayers from our children. Help us to see the value of praying your word over our kids. Reveal to us the things in their hearts and our own that need to be brought out into the light and transformed into your likeness. Help us to carve out sacred time to make prayer our first response, not our last resort. Turn my reactive prayers into proactive prayers on behalf of my family. Help us to be mothers that know that our help and strength come from you alone.
