Just as children wear costumes to pretend to be someone else, we often try to cover up parts of ourselves—our sin, our shame, or our struggles. Yet God sees everything, and still, He loves us completely. This truth brings both conviction and comfort: conviction to confess and turn toward Him, and comfort that we are fully known and still fully loved

Prayer: Father, remind me that I don’t have to cover up or put on a costume to come into your presence. I thank you that you see everything, nothing is hidden from you and you love me anyway. Help me to lead my children with honesty, inviting a culture of openness into our home, even when it is a challenge. Allow my children to know the depths of your love - that you see all and you love all. In Jesus’ name, amen.

A Prayer for God to Keep You

The short letter of Jude—only one page in most Bibles—packs profound truth for believers. Today's episode by Brooke McGlothlin dives into the first few verses in Jude and she remind us that those who belong to God are called, beloved, and kept.

The word “kept,” or “preserved” in the King James Version, speaks of God’s continual care and protection over His people.To “preserve” means to safeguard, protect, or maintain. Unlike our own imperfect efforts to keep things in order, God never fails to keep what belongs to Him.

Prayer:

Father, thank you for keeping me and thank you for keeping my children. Left to myself I know I would never, left to myself I know I would never be able to stay. There's too much sin still in my heart and it's prone to wonder from you. The knowledge that you will preserve me, that you will guard me and keep me from stumbling, brings me so much peace. In a culture that often prizes speed and instant results, what if we chose to slow down, stay focused, and trust God to bring His work in us to completion.

In today's prayer by Nicolet Bell,we look at the story of Solomon completing the temple — a dream that began in the heart of his father, King David. Though David longed to build a dwelling place for God, the Lord chose Solomon to carry out the task. Instead of being resentful, David prepared his son for success by gathering materials, providing detailed plans, and encouraging him to serve God with an undivided heart.

Prayer: Father, I thank you for the example of Solomon to show us what hard work and perseverance looks like. His commitment to begin and finish a task, his assignment from you is an incredible witness to us. Help us to stay focused on the tasks you have given us. Guard us from distractions and sluggishness. I am confident that you who began a good work in me will carry it out to completion.
