    Don't reinvent the wheel - EMP176 Aug 03, 2020
    Show notes

This episode warns against reinventing the wheel. Sure, you can sometimes create something entirely new and profound (and sometimes that is needed), but you don't always have to do that.

You can always "make the wheel faster" or improve something that already exists.

When you create something entirely new, you have the added hurdle of educating your potential customers on how your product or service works, and why they even need it.

    Sharpen the saw - EMP173 Jul 23, 2020
    Show notes

This episode talks about how you need to "sharpen the saw." Sometimes we put so much effort in but fail to realize that the saw is dull.

If we took time to sharpen the saw (this can be our mind, our tools, etc.), we can maximize and increase our output in all areas of life.

Are you practicing your craft enough? - EMP172 Jul 20, 2020
    Show notes

Are you practicing your craft enough? Sometimes, we "practice on the job," resulting in not quite nailing the sales presentation, or just learning on the fly.

However, if we take some time to practice when we're not under pressure, we'll perform better when it's game time.

    Why I am considering a personal assistant - EMP167 Jul 02, 2020
    Show notes

In this episode, I share why I'm considering a personal assistant. In my mind, I can envision being at a place where I simply send a voice message with things I'd like to get done, and then having them get done that same day.

I would like to have someone handle all the little day-to-day things that add up but aren't really key to my business (such as scheduling haircuts, ordering meal prepped food for me, etc.).

This would open me up even more to focus only on the things I love to do.
