Welcome to EKA193! Today we're joined by blankstate. out of Charlotte, North Carolina! We've been meaning to have them on for a few months now, ever since I met Seth on the Let it Rip tour while he was drumming for Thoughts on Bowling, and we finally made it happen. Jacob, Faye and Seth were a great time and made for a great discussion as we covered everything from their early days as homeschool kids in a cover band to their new EP RITUAL. This band has a very unique story, having been together for nearly a decade while still not even being in their mid 20s. The bond is real with that kind of background, ya know? Also, we touch on Adjust The Sails and Leisure Hour and their fellow North Carolinians Kerosene Heights. Also, shoutout to Faye, the tech bro gods were NOOOOT cool to her throughout this process but she won in the end, inshallah. Go check out the new blankstate. ep RITUAL wherever you get your music.

Welcome to EKA189! Today we are joined by BenjeeHoward, our first guests hailing from the state of Kentucky! Finally, Amanda has a local of her own. We caught BenjeeHoward LLC during work hours so they were hard at work printing blouses and buttons but they were gracious enough to talk to us about everything that has been happening on their end. From the new singles to some big upcoming shows, a lot has been happening in the world of BenjeeHoward and it was nice to finally get a chance to talk. We even did the first ever Ska Gauntlet! This band is a great time, please go check out their new single WEED SCARIES AT THE CHASE PETRA SHOW, available on all streaming platforms.

Welcome to EKA188! Today we are joined by Gibran Colbert aka The Give & Take! This interview is a classic case of two emo uncs chopping it up about the past, the present and the future. Gibran has played in bands with many musicians whose bands have been featured on the show so it was fun getting some backstory on the DIY world from someone who has lived it. Along with this, we also touch on family, friendship, and the importance of human connection. Gibran is an absolute pleasure please go check out his music!

Welcome to EKA186! Today we are joined by Thoughts on Bowling, making them the FIRST EVER MEMBER OF THE THREE TIMERS CLUB! We've had Berkeley on, we've had Mitchell on, but now we have all 3 of the fellas at once and it gets...out of control. Not only that, but there is a special appearance from Mitch Gulish of Saturdays At Your Place, making him the SECOND EVER MEMBER OF THE THREE TIMERS CLUB. Anyways, now that we have that outta the way, this interview is an atrocity. It's basically 30 mins of us trying to humiliate eachother. it was the best time, we love the bowling boys very much there is a reason they're the first three timers. We talk about when to expect new music, the tour they just announced with other friends of the show, and much more before things really get out of control and Mitchell (and Mitch) shave my head while Berkeley pulls out "The Folder". Anyways, hope you enjoy/sorry you sat through this.
