Will and Lucas have their gay rat wedding in "Mr. Ratburn and the Special Someone," and choose between Team Arthur and Team Buster in "The Feud." There's a lot to discuss about the cultural impact and controversy around this episode, as well as changes behind the scenes in Arthur, plus more light-hearted subjects like the celebrity guest, the first (and last?) appearance of Patrick, a very strange Word From Us Kids, and more...

Elwood City Limits Episode 238: Jesse's Swamp Tears Jun 28, 2024

It's a bright, sunny day, but why are Will and Lucas so bummed? Show notes

Will is joined by fellow old-school Arthur fan Genna Buck as they critique Francine's lack of spy skills in "Francine & The Soccer Spy" and lament the failings(?) of community action in "Sue Ellen & The Last Page." Genna has some great observations about gender presentation on the show and casts a journalistic eye onto representations of the military and the political process in this episode. The pair also chat about the importance of annoying kid representation, gush about libraries (and Miss Turner), and chuckle about the new technology and slang in Arthur!
