The devil won’t try to take your breastplate of righteousness off, he’ll try to deconstruct it over time.” “Keep your plate on while refusing to pry others’ off.”

    Sunday Service // Branding Jesus: Funny Bunny // April 27, 2025 Apr 27, 2025
    Show notes

Pastor Andy Cass Sometimes we dress Jesus in outfits He never wore—branding Him based on our disappointment, expectations, or pain. But the real Jesus doesn’t need a rebrand—He just wants to be remembered as He truly is: Savior, King, and Friend. TEXT: Luke 23:9–11, Luke 23:39–43, 2 Kings 9:6, 2 Kings 9:11–13, Zechariah 9:9, 2 Samuel 6:12–16, 2 Samuel 6:22, 2 Timothy 3:5, Luke 19:35–40 NOTES: -Today I want to remind you: brand has power—more than we’d like to admit. The same is true when it comes to Jesus. How you see Him will shape how you think, act, and live. -How has your disappointment dressed (branded) Jesus? -How has your desires dressed Jesus? Superhero Jesus: “Jesus shows up just in time... until He doesn’t.” Genie Jesus: “I do my part, and He delivers exactly what I want.” “It’s like the vending machine ate your prayer.” Firefighter Jesus: “I got my salvation card—now I’m good!” “Jesus isn’t just fire insurance for emergencies—He wants to be part of every season.” Cotton Ball Cloud Jesus: “He’s beautiful and distant—probably too busy.”

    Sunday Service // Branding Jesus: Coat? // April 20, 2025 Apr 20, 2025
    Show notes

Palm Sunday was more than a parade—it was a declaration of identity, authority, and surrender. Discover how Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem reveals not just who He is, but who we are in response. TEXT: 2 Timothy 3:5, Luke 19:35–40, 2 Kings 9:6, 2 Kings 9:11–13, Zechariah 9:9, 2 Samuel 6:12–16, 2 Samuel 6:22 NOTES: Big Idea: If Jesus is Teacher, King, and Lord… Then I am a student, a subject, and a servant. His brand defines my behavior. If He’s the Teacher, I’m His student. If He’s the King, I’m His subject. If He’s the Lord, I’m His servant. -Cloak = identity, protection, and status. -We want Jesus to wear our coat. But Palm Sunday is about laying ours down. -We're created to worship- It’s not ok to allow the rocks to do our job!

    Sunday Service // Branding Jesus: Fork? // April 13, 2025 Apr 13, 2025
    Show notes

Pastor Andy Cass In a world of brand confusion, even Jesus gets reimagined to fit personal preferences. But what if the real Jesus doesn't cater to our image—but calls us to be reshaped in His? TEXT: Luke 11:23, Luke 11:37–40, Luke 11:42–44, Luke 11:46–48, Luke 11:52, 2 Timothy 3:1–5, Micah 6:8, Philippians 2:3, Psalm 24:4, Galatians 6:2, Romans 12:9, Matthew 5:16 NOTES: -Do you see Jesus for who he truly is?” “Are you branding Jesus, or is Jesus branding you?” “Are you sitting at his table or have you placed him on your table as a decoration?” -“Do you have a Biblical perspective or a collage from culture and your hopeful thoughts?” BAD BUT COMMON BRAND (False brand) -A Friend who loves but never convicts. -A Messiah who serves but never leads. -A King who blesses but never corrects. BIG IDEA-“Jesus will not be branded as a pushover. Instead, He is the One who pushes through our expectations, desires, and self-serving nature.” Questions: BRANDING JESUS into a better way: Neglect → Justice – Practice justice and love for God. (Micah 6:8) Pride → Humility – Seek to serve rather than be honored. (Philippians 2:3) Corruption → Integrity – Be pure in heart and actions. (Psalm 24:4) Burden → Compassion – Help others instead of weighing them down. (Galatians 6:2) Hypocrisy → Sincerity – Live authentically in faith and action. (Romans 12:9) Obstruction → Guidance – Lead people to truth, not away from it. (Matthew 5:16)
