Can a northern school ever have a dynasty again in college football? Jan 11, 2022

Show notes

-‘Ever’ is a big word, but it’s a big question to ask. Who knows where the NIL landscape takes us in the next years to come, but for now, it’s made the best teams richer

-Ohio State is the last northern team to win a title, back in 2014. They made the title game last year and got smoked. So, not a dynasty in terms of titles.

-Michigan made the playoff for the first time ever and got smoked…hard to envision them doing it often. This is why we are concerned for the future of college football. Can we call USC a ‘northern school’?

Nebrasketball forgot how to play defense again in a tough game in Piscataway vs. Rutgers Jan 10, 2022

Show notes

-It was a decent start for Nebraska, but then foul troubles and the patented cold streak settled in, leading to a 13-point halftime deficit, allowing 44 points at half to the Scarlet Knights

-If this game was a must-win, where do we go from here? They’re not going to win 7 games. How about…2 or 3? Are we on Mark Turgeon watch?
