-Is it fair for Nebraska fans to just ask for normalcy this season instead of bizarre happenings throughout the games? What does simply normal result to for a season record?

-We’re seeing a few QBs across the country transferring/quitting when not named the starter…any fear of that at Nebraska with the guys (presumably) behind Casey Thompson?

A Wisconsin site labels Nebraska as “the Big Ten’s failure project”…how important is it for Nebraska to win a division title before conference expansion in 2024? Aug 16, 2022
    Show notes

-That’s a pretty tough description of Nebraska, but it’s not totally wrong---it comes from SB Nation site Bucky’s 5th Quarter

-Things are going to change mightily once USC and UCLA enter the conference in 2024, and who knows that divisions look like at that time

-If Nebraska wants to rid themselves of such a description, can a division title in the next 2 years do that? Is it attainable?

One way to handling the news of not being named the starting QB is to walk away from football entirely….according to LSU’s Myles Brennan Aug 16, 2022
    Show notes

-Remember when Nebraska was interested in him for a short time early in 2022 before he stayed at LSU and Nebraska got Casey Thompson instead? What a time.

-Per several sources in Louisiana, Brennan was informed he wouldn’t be the starter and quickly opted to leave football altogether. He had been at LSU for 5 years. Now THAT’S an exit.

Nebraska gets one vote in the AP Top 25, but that still puts them as a distant 5th in the B1G West..are they as far back as voters project? Aug 16, 2022
    Show notes

-The good news: Nebraska got one vote, which puts them essentially at No. 47 in the rankings.

-The bad news: 4 other B1G West teams are significantly ahead of them, with Wisconsin at 18th with 365 votes; Iowa at 28th with 163 votes; Minnesota at 32nd with 31 votes; and Purdue at 34th with 17 votes. Do we view Nebraska as the distant 5th best team in the West?

Frost didn’t count out the possibility of Nebraska still implementing the triple option…do you believe there will be Logan Smothers packages this season? / Shut Up Sipple (sponsored by Bagels & Joe) Aug 15, 2022
    Show notes

-Frost mentioned Saturday that the triple option was used a lot against Northwestern last year and it was good to the team…could we see 2 QBs in play in Dublin or would Casey Thompson operate that?

-Remember, Michigan played 2 QBs last season; Cade McNamara started, but JJ McCarthy would come in as a running option but also would pass on occasion

Would any Husker fan push back on the idea that as the offensive line goes, the team goes this year? Aug 15, 2022
    Show notes

-That should be how it is every year, right? Or are there instances where that’s not the case?

-Frost offered glowing praise of the o-line on Saturday, saying that they have put science into their practices and it’s showing that the line is doubling their effort almost twice as much as they did in previous year’s practices

-Is there a reality where the line is above average this season? Where is the belief in it?

How can a stadium in the NFL—the biggest brand of professional sports—have as many problems as Soldier Field does? Aug 15, 2022
    Show notes

-FedEx Field in Washington is also terrible, which is dumbfounding for all the money that goes into the NFL that ANY field could have issues, but reports from Chiefs players on Saturday said that Soldier Field in Chicago was so bad that even the kicker had to go find a “below standard” field to practice on ahead of time because he wanted it to be like what he’d be kicking on.
