While you lament the loss to Illinois, your next opponent---Minnesota---just took Rutgers to the woodshed on Saturday Oct 31, 2022

Show notes

-No time for moping—the Gophers found their mojo again on Saturday, taking down Rutgers, 31-0. You KNOW they come to Lincoln next week expecting to beat Nebraska

-And guess what? If you lose to Minnesota, your bowl game dreams are dead. You’re not beating Michigan. And even if you beat Wisconsin and Iowa, it only gets you to 5 wins. Not enough

Nebraska’s offense sputters without Casey Thompson, and Illinois walks away with a 26-9 triumph on Saturday Oct 31, 2022

Show notes

-Nebraska had a 9-6 lead at one point, and it was all downhill from there. The Huskers had a big dropped pass from Rahmir Johnson that could have put them in scoring range with that lead, and then it all fell apart, as Tommy Devito made few mistakes and so did Illinois in general

-Thompson got hurt late in the 2nd quarter with a wrist injury and never returned---Nebraska went to Logan Smothers to end the 1st half, but went to Chubba Purdy the whole 2nd half, which resulted in very little positive

results

-We knew Thompson was due for an injury, and it happened---are they THAT bad at QB behind him for the offense to look that inept?

-There was a big push for Dave Aranda early on from a group of fans, but is that there now? And why, if so?

-Is there still some belief that Lane Kiffin might want the job? Who else?

It seems like tomorrow’s game can cause an overreaction on both sides of the spectrum….how can we keep ourselves in check? Oct 28, 2022

Show notes

-If Nebraska wins, there’s going to be a lot of people who say that Mickey Joseph is no doubt the man for the job and the coaching search should stop and end with him

-If Nebraska gets beat convincingly by 10+ points, you’ll have people saying that hiring Mickey is ‘settling’ for a coach. Is there anyway we don’t overreact either way?
