Does Nebraska’s standard of what they expect from the next coach depend on who they hire? Nov 22, 2022

Show notes

-Think about THAT for a second. Start at the top---if they somehow hired Urban Meyer, what’s the expectation for him? How much different is that for Matt Rhule/Luke Fickell?

-Does the expectation drop a lot for Lance Leipold/Chris Klieman/someone else? Doesn’t that mean a lot in terms of judging the hire?

-Also, congrats to the 3 state champs yesterday in state football; 3 more games today/tonight

-Mendenhall has been active in his ‘retirement’ and seems like he may be ready to coach again…what would that hire do for the fanbase and believe in Trev Alberts?

-Any other hot, steamy rumors to run with today that aren’t ridiculous?

We’ve reached decision week for Trev Alberts regarding the head coaching position at Nebraska…and the potential contenders for the job are all melting Nov 21, 2022

Show notes

-Lance Leipold remains a big name in the conversation, and his Kansas Jayhawks got drilled at home, 55-14, by Texas. Yikes. What about the other names mentioned?

-Dave Doeren? NC State was upset at Louisville. Mike Gundy? Oklahoma State got walloped by scuffling Oklahoma. Lane Kiffin? Ole Miss got smoked on the road at Arkansas.

-We want a clear picture, and it’s not clear. Mickey could have helped himself with a win, but it was another last-second loss. How the hell is this thing going to end?
