Purdue hires Illinois DC Ryan Walters as their next head football coach…does he stack up well as a B1G head coach? Dec 14, 2022

-Walters was mentioned in the conversation at Colorado for their position before they named Deion Sanders as their head coach…and Purdue now goes totally opposite of their hire of Jeff Brohm

-Also, yesterday was not very fun with the passing of Mike Leach and all that he meant to college football…we will (probably) never see a coach like him ever again

If Matt Rhule does at Nebraska what Jeff Brohm did at Purdue, will it be deemed a success or not? Dec 13, 2022

Show notes

-Jake did some digging yesterday and found a statistic about Purdue football under Brohm and before that and found a few interesting things

-Brohm took over a program that had won a TOTAL of 9 games the previous 4 years, and he went 7-6 the first year. The years that followed? 6-7, 4-8, 2-4 (COVID), 9-4, 8-5…before leaving for Louisville

-Would that record be deemed as success for Nebraska fans under Matt Rhule, with one division title? Also….random fact…Purdue has only had ONE 10+ win season in program history (10 wins, 1979)
