3 games remain in Nebraska’s schedule with just one win needed for a bowl game…but doesn’t the Maryland game this weekend now feel like a ‘must win’? Nov 06, 2023

Show notes

-We’ve discussed the notion of ‘must win’ on this show many times and how it is an overused phrase…but you have a team that just lost to a 2-win team and you’re trying to make your first bowl game since 2016

-If you lose to Maryland---who have lost 4 straight games---now you have to beat Wisconsin or Iowa simply to make a bowl game. That’s been an issue in the past.

-Also, for a team that said they don’t want to take fair catches in the return game….that’s all they do now

-Heinrich Haarberg had another less-than-stellar day through the air, going 12/28, 129 yards, and 2 INTs (no TDs; he did have one rushing TD)…and now you’ve lost your most-winnable game left on the schedule
