As you ponder what type of season Nebraska can have in 2026—the Coaches Poll indicates they could have 5 chances to beat ranked teams Aug 05, 2026

Show notes

-Preseason polls are also a joke with Top 10 teams ending outside the Top 25 yearly---but it’s a thought on where each team should be at least.

Of Nebraska’s opponents this year, here were the rankings from yesterday: Ohio State (1 st ); Oregon (2 nd ); Indiana (6 th ); Washington (19 th ); and

Iowa (22 nd )

-That’s a lot of respect for Iowa who once again finds their way to the Top 25 without a reliable QB as usual…but that’s what is in your way and

what Phil Steele said yesterday is a year that WILL have the Huskers beat at Top 25 team…

David Braun as the worst coach in the B1G? Say it ain’t so, CBS Sports… Aug 05, 2026

Show notes

-CBS Sports ranks David Braun as the worst coach in the B1G conference and the 58 th best coach in college football as a whole—keep in mind,

he has the same overall record as Matt Rhule at Nebraska (19-19), and Rhule sits at 11 th in the league (37 th in country)

-Rhule didn’t inherit a 1-win team like Braun did and also wasn’t thrust into the head coach position a month before the season like Braun…why

the disrespect for the man in purple?
