Big 12 Media Days wrapped up yesterday, with Deion Sanders saying he’s judged on a different scale where wins aren’t comparable to others Jul 11, 2024

Show notes

-It’s really great that Mike Gundy and Sanders went on different days so we could have 2 good days of quotes from both interesting coaches. Prime Time said his wins are judged differently than others because of the status of who he is. Hmm….

-Sanders also said he’s mad at AD Rick George for scheduling North Dakota State off the bat as he wanted a ‘lay-up’ game…not so much the case

-What else stood out from the 2^nd and final day of Big 12 Media Days in Vegas?

Matt Rhule isn’t on the Hot Seat in College Football, but who is? This year’s list is out… Jul 10, 2024

Show notes

-CBS Sports put out their annual Hot Seat Report, and it shows how quickly things can change at certain programs. Example: Arkansas’ Sam Pittman was a 1 last year---‘safe and secure’---and this year is elevated all the way to a 5—‘win or be fired’

-Surprisingly, Pittman is the only coach in the country listed with that rating…where do B1G coaches stack up? Matt Rhule is ‘safe and secure’…but how about Ryan Day being a 3—‘pressure is mounting’

-Who else stands out that we agree with or disagree with?

Brett Yormark took the stage to start things out in Vegas at Big 12 Media Days and claimed the conference is the deepest in the nation…he may be right Jul 10, 2024

Show notes

-We went through the bottom 4 teams yesterday in Big 12 projections and could make a case for all 4 of those teams making a bowl game at the bottom of the league…so Yormark might be right, considering we also said that up to 8 teams could possibly win the league

-Yormark said the Big 12 is more relevant now than ever before (bold but maybe true) and that he won’t stop until the Big 12 is the No. 1 conference in America….watch out B1G and SEC!

-Also, Mike Gundy had some interesting comments during Big 12 media days about Ollie Gordon II's DUI arrest
