Matt Rhule met with media yesterday to recap Ohio State, preview UCLA, and discuss the screen game on offense and more Oct 29, 2024

Show notes

-Rhule met with media right after the B1G had admitted the officials messed up late in the first half on the obvious first down run by Emmett Johnson that was said not to be a first down and addressed that..

-Rhule said he and the players feel bad for the “heat” that Marcus Satterfield is getting…doesn’t appear to be a change there anytime soon

-Also, injury update: Rahmir Johnson is back and practicing and should play vs. UCLA; Tommi Hill is unclear still for status…what else did we learn from the presser?

Nebraska has been close in big games in years past…can they actually turn the good effort into wins going forward or more moral victories? Oct 28, 2024

Show notes

-Most games against Ohio State have resulted in blowout losses for Nebraska, but 2 separate times—both 11am games---Nebraska pushed the Buckeyes to the very end (2018, 2021)…but it didn’t result in the season turning around

-Nebraska enters a critical month in November, and got the horrible feeling of the Indiana out of it’s system with a quality performance against Ohio State---albeit a loss

-Is there fear or a hangover against UCLA after almost getting a big win this weekend or not?

Nebraska comes close to getting a huge upset at Ohio State but falls, 21-17…a tough loss but a fantastic defensive performance Oct 28, 2024

Show notes

-Who in their right mind after watching the game against Indiana last week would have said that Nebraska would lead at one point in the 4^th quarter on Saturday? Well they did—a 17-14 lead in early 4Q

-The Buckeyes did go on to take the lead the next drive, and Nebraska failed to score with the ball near midfield with 2 minutes to go…but the Husker defense was phenomenal in the game, leading people to question how good Ohio State really is

-Let’s not forget to give a huge shoutout to John Hohl, who was 3/3 on FGs including a 54-yarder!
