There is potential for Nebraska/Iowa to be another primetime night game again this year…who says no to that? May 27, 2025

Show notes

Last year, Nebraska/Iowa was a night game for the first time in the history of the series, on NBC, which of course resulted in a 13-10 loss in Iowa City

We’ll learn official start times on Thursday…but who wouldn’t want Black Friday vs. Iowa to be primetime again instead of 11a or 1:30p?

Penn State made the Final 4 of the B1G Baseball Tournament, but James Franklin was seen supporting his former school / Shut Up Sipple (sponsored by Bagels & Joe) May 27, 2025

Show notes

Nebraska ended Penn State’s season on Saturday, when the 9-seeded Nittany Lions couldn’t hold an early lead and the Huskers closed it out. Football coach James Franklin was not in Omaha for the semifinal game; instead, he was seen supporting Vanderbilt in Hoover, Alabama in the SEC Tournament

Franklin says he’s still close with Commodores coach Tim Corbin and drove up from Destin to see the team play…this is a non-story to mostly anyone but curious how Penn State fans feel about it or coaches supporting former schools in general

How much does a conference tournament title change the thoughts of a season? May 27, 2025

Show notes

This isn’t just a question for Nebraska baseball---it’s a general question, as sometimes in college basketball we see teams that have low odds of winning their conference title do exactly that…how much does it forgive an otherwise average season for these teams?

Also, update on the Conference Finals in the NBA…there will be no sweeps…but will there be any Game 7s by series’ end?

It didn’t end the way Husker softball wanted to, but what an epic run it was for Jordy Bahl and crew May 27, 2025

Show notes

Nebraska won the first game against Tennessee on Friday, then lost 3-2 on Saturday, before falling 1-0 to the Lady Vols on Sunday, ending their season just short of a Women’s College World Series appearance

A first inning HR was all that was scored in the game on Sunday, as Nebraska had the bases loaded in the 5th inning but failed to score, and that was the closest they were any part of the game

From barely making the conference postseason to winning it all…Nebraska baseball goes back-to-back in the B1G Tournament, earning a regional bid in Chapel Hill May 27, 2025

Show notes

We all know the disappointment the regular season was for Nebraska, landing them the 8-seed in the B1G Tournament. Well, thanks to a dropped 3rd out in game 1 vs. Michigan State, the Huskers took down Oregon on Friday night, and then took care of Penn State on Saturday, before shutting out UCLA, 5-0, to win the tourney on Sunday

Ty Horn was sensational, going 8 complete shutout innings on Sunday to earn the win, but the offense was hot early and defense did what it needed to get it done. Nebraska plays Oklahoma on Friday in Chapel Hill (NC), and guess who missed the tourney completely….preseason No. 1 Texas A&M and Iowa, who led the B1G the majority of the season
