The money is now so good in NIL that even potential first round NBA picks are choosing to stay in college May 29, 2025

Show notes

That was the case Tuesday at least, when UAB’s Yaxel Lendeborg announced he’d be withdrawing his name from the NBA Draft and committing to Michigan instead---several projections had him as a mid-to-late 1st round pick in the draft

Envision anytime in the past when a likely 1st round pick stayed in college…to potentially make more money than as a pro

Show notes

Kelly spoke at the SEC Spring Meetings in Destin yesterday and said that SEC coaches want to play B1G teams in non-conference, and the ADs apparently are clear on that as well…Arkansas’ Sam Pittman said he wants to stay at 8 conference games but make a 9th game be vs. a B1G team….what do B1G coaches think if asked?

Will we ever see an undefeated champion again in college football? May 28, 2025

Show notes

Texas coach Steve Sarkisian spoke with media yesterday (as did other SEC coaches) and said that the idea of someone going 16-0 with all the added games, plus staying healthy, and likely downsizing of rosters will make it difficult to ever see that again

Michigan is the most recent team to go undefeated, a 15-0 record in 2023; Georgia was undefeated the year prior to that and Alabama also in 2020. Do we believe the days are over of undefeated teams in the sport?
