It’s really good to be a pro athlete as seen by free agency signings in the NBA…AND…big money owed to someone who got cut Jul 02, 2025

Show notes

Yesterday, the Milwaukee Bucks signed Pacers center Myles Turner to a 4-year, $107 million deal…and at the same time, cut superstar guard Damian Lillard, who is owed $22.5 million per year over 5 years by the organization. $100 million+ to not be there.

We talk about buyouts for coaches in sports, which are also insane….but this deal for Lillard is wild and still guaranteed even when he signs somewhere else

Despite a flurry of commits to end the month, ESPN says Nebraska “whiffed” in June in recruiting…how do we even know that in today’s day and age? Jul 02, 2025

Show notes

ESPN’s Eli Lederman upset Husker fans this week when he wrote that Nebraska “whiffed” in June, missing out on DB Camren Hamiel, Zion Robinson, Titan Davis, and the decommitment of CJ Bronaugh, as well as losing grip on RB Brian Bonner, Jr…..but they did add quite a few pieces in the last 10 days still…was it a whiff? And how do we know when so much is placed on the portal?

Also, Jake has more anger built up regarding a move the Miami Dolphins made yesterday…replacing their star tight end with someone who was RETIRED
