Rhule said it was disappointing that both lines in the trenches were controlled by the Wolverines, and also said it’s important to have a calculated response to the loss to Michigan

Rhule says he sees a team that’s improved on special teams, throwing the football and on defense…does The Stool agree with that assessment? More from Rhule…

When will Nebraska score that signature big win that the program so desperately needs? Sep 22, 2025

Show notes

Last year’s Colorado game was a statement win at the time, and that Colorado team did win 9 games with the eventual Heisman Trophy winner…but it wasn’t a signature win especially with it not being a conference game

If this Husker team still has visions of being a double-digit win team, it means they’ll need to win a game vs. USC or Penn State, as well as not slipping up along the way…do you trust Nebraska in doing so?

Losing to a ranked Michigan team is nothing to be ashamed of…but what can Nebraska do to fix their rush defense problems with B1G play hitting full steam? Sep 22, 2025

Show notes

Luckily for Nebraska, they have a bye week to try and get things ‘right’…the problem is, we saw in Week 1 vs. Cincinnati that there could be issues in stopping the run, and that was the case vs. Michigan

Michigan State is next up and they haven’t ran the ball great this year so far…but what about the rest of the schedule? What can you do midseason to shore things up?

Indiana is back to being terrifying….can they legitimately push for the B1G title this year? Sep 22, 2025

Show notes

19th ranked Indiana had no issues at all vs. No. 9 Illinois, in a 63-10 blowout of Bret Bielema and the Illini

Many number popped out in the game, but maybe none more than rush yards: Indiana had 312 rush yards compared to just 2 (!!!) for Illinois. Curt “Google Me” Cignetti continues to be a major problem to the rest of college football.

Nebraska’s winless streak vs. Top 25 extends to 28 games as Michigan’s run game destroys the Husker defense in a 30-27 win in Lincoln Sep 22, 2025

Show notes

The fears that Husker fans had of stopping the Michigan run game were proven true, as the Wolverines ran 31 times for 290 yards…an astounding 9.4 yards per rush…with TD runs of 75, 54 and 37 yards. Not going to win many games with those numbers

Michigan also had 7 sacks of Dylan Raiola and held the Husker run game in check…for those hoping this game could spring Nebraska forward to a big year, it’s a step back…but lots of season still left
