Show notes

-The Hoosiers rolled out to a 37-0 lead at Rutgers before winning, 47-15, and come to Lincoln with a 5-0 record and 21 straight wins

-Nebraska’s running game ended up with 200+ yards rushing but it took a lot of Anthony Colandrea scrambling to hit those numbers, as

Things got so bad at Colorado State this weekend that the defensive coordinator was fired mid-game… Oct 05, 2026

Show notes

-We don’t follow the Rams much in Fort Collins (understandably so)….but when Jim Mora, Jr. confirmed postgame that defensive

coordinator Tyson Summers was ‘relieved of his duties’ at halftime and left the stadium

-In a follow-up, Mora, Jr. confirmed that Summers was permanently off the staff and Kenny McClendon is in his role…have Sip or Bill

ever seen anything like that in their years covering teams and coaching?

Despite 16 penalties (!!) and a sluggish first half, Nebraska rolls Maryland, 48-23, to improve to 5-0 with CIGS coming to town Oct 05, 2026

Show notes

-The first quarter was nothing other than disastrous for Nebraska, as the opening drive was extended for the Terps by a running into

the kicker penalty which resulted in a field goal eventually; Maryland scored 4 separate times in the opening quarter, but thankfully

only one drive was a TD

-Somehow, someway, Nebraska led this game at halftime, 28-23, despite being overwhelmed in yardage…and then, the 2 nd half

featured a shutout by the defense and 21 points by the offense….how do we assess that game with the penalties and slow start?

Shoutout to Dwayne McDougle for his 81-yard pick-6 which changed the entire momentum of the game…

Show notes

Knights…a win for both Nebraska and Indiana would set up a 5-0 matchup that we talked about all offseason…how wild would it get in

Lincoln ahead of next week’s Big Noon Kickoff?

-Also, what’s going on at San Diego State? A MUMPS outbreak?! What year is this, 1930? 32 players on the injury list due to a mumps

outbreak…
