231 - A Hater's Guide to the Second Age Aug 26, 2022

Show notes

Matt and Rob return to one of their favorite topics -- the many works of J.R.R. Tolkien, in anticipation of Amazon's new billion-dollar boondoggle, The Rings of Power! Listen to two dorks ramble about obscure lore that no one cares about and will likely be discarded on episode one of the new show.

BONUS - One D&D Aug 22, 2022

Show notes

It's a (sort of) new (sort of) edition of Dungeons and Dragons: One D&D. Here's DM Matt and Rob's hot takes on the good (some nice things!) and bad (one major whiff) from the first set of playtest rules on character origins.

230 - Journeys Through the Radiant Citadel (Part 2) Aug 19, 2022

Show notes

DMs Rob and Matt are still on a bogus journey through the Radiant Citadel. Part 2 has 10, yes 10, adventure reviews. Talk to a dying snake god, eat a dream egg, fight infinite stone golems, solve a mystery full of plot holes, traverse a skybridge of dragon bones, debate philosophy in an underwater city, join an anarchist revolution against an angel, put a lava axolotl back to sleep, or just do it all!
