Caroline Mabey Points The Finger Jul 10, 2019

The crew dig into a crime which turned out to be the catalyst for a pioneering way of gathering evidence - which is still the first port of how we might catch a criminal today. AND we hear about the time Hannah breathed on the bottom of her neighbours' patio window... but we never find out WHY.

Jo Middleton, Cuthbert & A Lesson In Metric vs Imperial Jul 03, 2019

Show notes

Fabulous blogger, Jo Middleton - otherwise known as 'Slummy Single Mummy' came armed with a thirst for gin and an inquiring mind as she helps the Drunk Women get to the bottom of a war time spy story, in which one of the characters gives a rather wooden performance.

We also hear that Jo - despite her efforts - has, thankfully avoided most crimes, but is however the continual victim of a very 21st century phenomenon. And this week's listener crime had a very colourful perpetrator.

DRUNK WOMEN LIVE: With Thanyia Moore Jun 26, 2019

Show notes

The Drunk Women were unaware they were inviting sleuthing royalty on the show when comedian Thanyia Moore joined in the fun at The Pleasance Theatre, where Thanyia revealed that her mum is 'the black Jessica Fletcher!"

And we also find out that if Thanyia and Catie's mothers joined forces, they would be the most feared crime fighting duo the world has ever known. This week's case involves a writer whose own detecting skills could never be described as 'elementary' and an audience member shares the time a crime quite literally slid into her DMs.

Sali Hughes' NYE Hell & A Lesson In Hand Gun History Jun 12, 2019

Show notes

Do you know when the first handgun assassination in London took place? Well, listen to this episode and you soon will.

You'll also get to hear about probably the WORST New Year’s Eve night out ever, when being the victim of a crime resulted in Sali sleeping in a pool of child's urine.

Miranda Sawyer, A Ghostly Witness & True Confessions Jun 05, 2019

Show notes

The guest in this week's episode is the most qualified yet, as Miranda Sawyer shares the time she solved a crime of her own and then lends her considerable detecting skills to a case which has some much needed help from beyond the grave.

And is this week's listener crime an elaborate sibling confession? We think it may be....

Anna Ptaszynski, The Sodder Children & Bank Heist Of Maida Vale May 29, 2019

Show notes

This episode sees QI Elf Anna Ptaszynski defect from her own hit podcast 'No Such Thing As A Fish' to lend her little grey cells to some true crime solving - although quite a few brain cells were depleted on that record.

The drunk detectives get to the bottom of perhaps their most chilling cold case yet - the mystery of the missing Sodder children.

And, thanks to a listener, we also get to hear about a bank heist which takes place on the mean streets of Maida Vale.
