DRUNK WOMEN LIVE: With Zoe Lyons Oct 09, 2019
    Show notes

In this final outing of the Edinburgh Fringe, the Drunk Women welcome the amazing Zoe Lyons to the force. The squiffy foursome then dig into a case involving an unsolved murder, the clergy, and perhaps the biggest pre 21st Century media circus of all-time.

But before all of that Zoe recounts the time she was the victim of a fruit-based crime, and as per usual the Edinburgh crowd don't disappoint, as audience member James tells us about a burglary which resulted in the most depressing swag ever stolen.

DRUNK WOMEN LIVE: With Anna Drezen Oct 02, 2019
    Show notes

On a wet August day in Edinburgh, hijinks ensued when the Drunk Women gathered in front of a well-oiled crowd to crack another case. They were joined by comedian and Saturday Night Live writer Anna Drezen, who shared the time she was the victim of identity theft before the women get to the bottom of a murder case in which the perpetrator was SO hot, they cast a spell over anyone supposed to bring them to justice. And one member of the audience really earns their DWSC umbrella, when they share an X-rated crime which produces more questions than answers.

DRUNK WOMEN LIVE: With Steph Tisdell Sep 18, 2019
    Show notes

After last week's break by the seaside, this episode sees the Drunk Women back in the rainy cobbles of the Edinburgh Fringe, where they were joined by comic and barefoot enigma Steph Tisdell of the Aboriginal Comedy Allstars. Steph kicks us off with a tale of some pretty audacious catfishing and the crew put their heads together to deconstruct the complicated life of a drug lord.

As ever they round things off with a tale of crime woe from a listener, who then gets a DWSC umbrella, making it all worth it.

DRUNK WOMEN LIVE: With Anneka Rice Sep 11, 2019
    Show notes

Like a fine wine, this episode was bottled back in the heady days of summer, when the gang took a suitcase of prosecco aboard the ferry and found themselves on the sunny Isle of Wight, during the Ventnor Fringe Festival in order to solve a case which could mean espionage has reached the land across the Solent. On hand was adventurer and Island local, Anneka Rice - who revealed a pretty thrilling spy connection of her own, along with the ability to live a double life.

So sit back and let the sounds of summer flood your ears .... four women getting drunk in front of a sell out crowd at Ventnor Arts Club.

DRUNK WOMEN LIVE: With Jena Friedman Sep 04, 2019
    Show notes

In this episode, the gang enlist a sleuth from across-the-pond, in the form of comedian, writer and producer Jena Friedman!

Jena and Taylor explore the stark contrast of the UK Bobby and the NYPD (definitely not a good idea to invite them into your apartment for a drink!) and the group crack the case of a man who proved (almost) impossible to murder!

Plus, one lucky audience member really earns their DWSC umbrella when he shares a time he was a victim of a rather harrowing crime.

DRUNK WOMEN LIVE: With Sukh Ojla Aug 28, 2019
    Show notes

The Edinburgh Fringe may have just finished for another year, but the Drunk Women are reliving those heady days through this very podcast!

You can join them in their reverie of the time they were joined by comedian, actor & writer Sukh Ojla in front of a packed-out crowd, to solve a crime involving another badass woman that history forgot.

Sukh tells us about the date which was a crime against romance and this week's audience crime shows that some villains have real staying power.

DRUNK WOMEN LIVE: With Alice Fraser Aug 21, 2019
    Show notes

As the Drunk Women carry on through their sloshed-sleuthing odyssey of the Edinburgh Fringe, they brought in comic, podcaster and ex-lawyer Alice Fraser to bring her legal experience to proceedings.

Alice shares the time sheer bravado let her escape being mugged in New York, the gang get to the bottom of a case which is the very definition of 'cold' (it happened in the snow), and a member of the sold-out audience was brave enough to come up and earn his 'Drunk Women' umbrella by sharing his own crime story - although you could argue that the gentleman’s brother ended up the real victim.

DRUNK WOMEN LIVE: With Lucie Pohl Aug 14, 2019
    Show notes

In this second episode from their sold-out run at the Edinburgh Fringe, the Drunk Women enlisted the help of US comic and video game star, Lucie Pohl.

Lucie’s crime is brought to you from the mean streets of NYC, where she developed a rather strange relationship with her muggers.

The detectives get to grips with a case from history, which will make all left-handed, redhead, female midwives VERY glad they weren't around during the reign of King James.

And the audience crime comes from someone very familiar to the world of podcasting - and to our Catie.

DRUNK WOMEN LIVE: With Ashley Storrie Aug 07, 2019
    Show notes

The Drunk Women took a vat of prosecco to the Edinburgh Fringe and performed to a sell-out crowd, aided by comic and part-time detective Ashley Storrie. The gang had the time of their lives cracking the case of a 'gentleman' bank robber and a crime perpetrated against an audience member, who also gave Taylor a lesson in Scottish snacks. Plus we find out Ashley spent a good deal of her childhood as a pirate.
