This week’s guest is Noa Kahn…a Grammy-nominated drummer who, while only moving to the US from Israel in 2019, has already taken the industry by storm and getting hired by some of the best names in the game…including Jax and Big Wild. This week’s guest is Jordan Rose - a Brooklyn-based session drummer who’s worked with Theo Katzman, Cory Wong, SZA, Caleb Hawley, Charlie Puth, Pomplamoose, Charlie Hunter and so many other legends. I know I’m a broken record, but I LOVE his feel on the kit and I couldn’t wait to get him on the show. He’s overcome a lot in his life, including a period of 2 years where he lost hearing in his right ear, but it only made him into a better musician. We also talk about music helped him overcoming his social anxiety (something that I personally struggle with to this day). All in all, Jordan is a gem. Big Fat Five: Butch Vig's Top 5 Influential Records (that shaped him into the producer/engineer/songwriter/drummer he is today) Apr 05, 2023

This week’s guest is Butch Vig. He needs no introduction, but HERE WE GO. He is one of the most successful producers in rock history - having produced a handful of critically and commercially acclaimed albums such as Nirvana’s ‘Nevermind’, both ‘Gish’ and ‘Siamese Dream’ from Smashing Pumpkins, Sonic Youth’s ‘Dirty’, Soul Asylum’s ‘Let Your Big Light Shine’, Foo Fighters’ ‘Wasting Light’, Jimmy Eat World’s ‘Chase This Light’ and the two latest Silversun Pickups records ‘Widow’s Weeds’ and ‘Physical Thrills’. In addition to producing, Butch is one helluva drummer - having played with Spooner, Fire Town, 5 Billion in Diamonds and, of course, Garbage. This was a milestone for both myself and the podcast; I love how it turned out. Butch is a sweetheart of a man and it made me love him and his career even more. I get interviewed... Feb 28, 2023

This week’s guest is…me! I’ve been getting a lot of questions from new listeners regarding my time in LA and asking for any advice on how to make strides in their drumming career. While I certainly don’t think I’m an authority on that matter, I still welcome these conversations. That being said, I wanted to upload this episode for a good reference as to what I tend to say time and time again. I also acknowledge that my favorite podcasts ARE my favorite podcasts because I feel like I know the host and, while I try to keep these conversations as causal as possible, I don’t really talk about myself and my history too much. Sooo a few months back, I interviewed Ryan Seaman for Big Fat Five, but Ryan has his own show as well on Idobi Radio called ‘Ryan Seaman and Friends’. After our chat for this podcast, I hopped on his show to talk about MY story as a drummer and offer some advice of varying credibility. I hope you enjoy getting to know me a little bit better and we’ll be back to our regularly scheduled programming soon!
