Kyle Schwarber has been mashing and the Phillies are now tied for a playoff spot. Jared, Dallas, Joey, and Jake are going to the All-Star game and talk about their plans for outfits. Aaron Judge is a Top-5 ASG vote getter but Jared thinks some other players deserve that title. Mr. Peña was looking like the odds-on favorite for Rookie of the Year about a month ago, but JRod may have just overtaken his spot. The Yankees are apparently in heavy pursuit of Frankie Montas which would be real tough for A's fans on top of having the worst record in the league. Robbie Ray has been dealing lately and a lot of people are saying he's back. News that Chris Sale could make his first MLB start this year surfaced during today's show as well. There are rumors that the Padres could be putting Fernando Tatís Jr. in the outfield when he gets back so we break down what that scenario could look like. The Baltimore Orioles are on fire and are chasing down the Yankees for the best record in baseball. It's a miracle that Javy Báez and Amir Garret haven't fought yet as they had yet another loud discussion over the weekend. Max Scherzer is returning for the Mets tonight and when you couple that with the news of Jacob DeGrom feeling "100%," the Mets seem to be in a pretty good spot. Baseball Is Dead Episode 25: Freddie Freeman Drama Jul 01, 2022

It's been an ongoing saga between Freddie Freeman, his agent, and the Braves and we're breaking it all down on today's episode. Joey thinks that Freeman would've signed a 5-year deal with the Braves if things had gone differently during negotiations. We're also talking Astros and whether they're the team to beat in the AL over the Yankees. Jeremy Peña becomes a big topic of discussion when Joey forgets his first name and we will be referring to him as Mr. Peña from here on out until Joey deems he has earned the right to his first name. Juan Soto contract extension numbers have leaked and we talk about his regression this year and whether that contract will be worth it. Dallas also talks about Oakland being one step closer to building a new ballpark. Jake and Jared are in Chicago to watch the Red Sox smack the Cubs so keep an eye out for video content coming from that series. Enjoy!

It was an eventful weekend in MLB lead by a huge brawl in Anaheim. Jared and Dallas are breaking down who caused it, who was in the right, and who was in the wrong. Clayton Kershaw made comments about Freddie Freeman’s return to Atlanta that raised some questions about whether his teammates think he needs to move on from his former team. The Yankees got no-hit by the Astros and followed it up with a Judge walk-off homer the next day. They shouldn’t take it for granted either because according to Jared there’s no shot he’s staying with the Yankees. We also have a heated sunflower seed discussion between Jared and Dallas and talk about how if the playoffs started today the Red Sox would win the World Series. Enjoy!

This dude dunks on Babe Ruth. This leads to a discussion about whether Ohtani should win MVP every year for the rest of his career and how you are supposed to weigh his value against other players. We also talk about whether Ohtani will stay in Anaheim once his contract is up. The Guardians have taken over first place in the AL Central and Jared thinks they're here to stay. Joey thinks their season is over. Dallas says the White Sox are fucking toast and Jared think they still have a shot. Dallas also says that the A's fucking suck which is wild because he works for the team. Baseball Is Dead Episode 22: Mike Trout Goes OFF Part 1 Jun 20, 2022

Mike Trout became the first player in MLB history to hit four game-winning home runs in a single series and Dallas is fired up. This leads to a discussion about his boring shoes and begs the question why the MLB doesn't have its youngest, most exciting players pushing more of their own sneakers. Jerer Encarnación was called up to the Marlins and hit a grand slam for his first career hit in the league. Jared reminisces on José Fernández as he tends to do from time to time; this year would have been his age 30 season. The Red Sox are basically plugged into the ALCS at this point and we discuss what other AL team might join them there. Joey proposes a Bogaerts and Devers for Juan Soto trade which Jared politely declines. More in Part 2!
