Stay ConnectedTristan + Greg are a couple of 90s kids from down under, on a mission to re-watch every movie that meant something from their childhood. Each episode they review a ‘classic’ film from the 80s or 90s, and determine how it stacks up in the modern era.
…They use the term ‘classic’ loosely.

149 - We are BACK. Greg survived covid. Greg is truly the hero this town needs. Westboro on the other hand, golly gosh, what a mess. Murders, antiquated popcorn methods, High School Principals with anger issues - many things - but what a great movie. Join us as we unpack the one and only Scream.

This. Movie. Is. Iconic. But we hadn't watched it in about 20 years, so the pressure was on! To add even more pressure, we've also got one of the stars from this very movie to help us break it all down - actor, magician, and TikTok extraordinaire, Adam Wylie. Adam of course gives us allllll the inside knowledge and behind the scenes scoops which make this episode, one that simply cannot be missed!

Ok. This is a BIIIIG one. Brian De Palma's Scarface was massive for most of us I'm sure, but particularly so for this week's guest, Matty Fahd from Gogglebox Australia. Matty joins us to talk through why this was such a massive movie for him, and of course help us dive into the background of the film, and breakdown how it holds up in 2020. This is a pretty massive episode, our longest to-date, and it's packed to the brim with juicy Scarface chat. Including such big questions as, to what extent is it a remake? How 'method' did Pacino get on set? Is his accent actually any good? Is this the most influential movie on hip-hop of all time? But most importantly, how does it hold up through the harsh light of a 2020 lens?

And just to make this even more of an epic episode, we have very special guest, Michael Schiavello, AKA The Voice, AKA the most-watched-sports broadcaster in the world. We talk all of our usual segments, but we can't have Michael on the show without asking all of our burning questions about JCVD, Steven Seagal and Frank Dux - and holy moly does he deliver. So join us for 70% predator, 20% amazing behind the scenes stories of our aforementioned martial arts heroes, and 10% motivational speech.

FESTIVE RE-RELEASE - We are going full-festive this week, with National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, with special guest Hayden James. Sure he's an Aussie music superstar, but does he have movie chat? Turns out yes! We cover it all, from the rotating roster of the Griswold kids, to the grumpy old men Chevy and Randy have turned into - but most importantly, we go deep to truly understand how this thing holds up in 2020.

148 - Jingle All The Way: It's Arnie, and it's Christmas. Bish, bash, bosh - you got yourself a podcast episode. This is a jam-packed episode. Of course we talk about Arnold, his cookies, and how nobody told nobody to eat them etc, but we also breakdown the trackless of the classic 1993 compilation CD Hit Machine 2, for some reason. This and more! So have a listen and leave a review, it's the festive thing to do.

147 - We are well and truly in the festive season now, folks! For our first festive film of the year, we are hitting a tale as old as time - well, a tale as old as a 1843 novella with an 88 twist - with SCROOGED! I know we say this every week but we go DEEEEP this week guys - covering such important questions as, what would the 2020's twist on the classic tale look like? What is the relationship between this film and 30 Rock? and of course, the question on everyone's mind (or at least Tristan's), why do long haul flights mess with our digestive system so much? ALSO - we have a pretty special Easter egg waiting for you at the end of the episode, so make sure you stick around. MERRY CHRISTMAS! GOD BLESS US, EVERY ONE!
