Stay ConnectedTristan + Greg are a couple of 90s kids from down under, on a mission to re-watch every movie that meant something from their childhood. Each episode they review a ‘classic’ film from the 80s or 90s, and determine how it stacks up in the modern era.
…They use the term ‘classic’ loosely.

164 - We get it, Terminator: Dark Fate probably isn't your favourite Terminator movie, but it is fascinating to talk about for a whole bunch of reasons. First, it's an Arnold movie. Second, Second, we get to dig into how and if this thing works as THE third Terminator movie, or just another one. Third, it's Lat Pack Past & Present, so we are talking about this movie as an 80s and 90s action movie comparison point - that's what it's all about, baby!!! We love this episode, we hope you do too!

162 - We LOVE a vulnerable Stallone, and this might the great man at his most vulnerable - does that make it his best performance? But thats not all, we have a dishevelled Liotta and a moustachioed De Niro. BUT THAT'S NOT ALL. Harvey Keitel, Robert Patrick, Cathy Moriarty, Anna Sciorra, Janeane Garofalo, Michael Rapport, Edie Falco, Frank Vincent, Debbie Harry... the list goes on. The cast is STACKED, but does that make it good? Well it certainly doesn't hurt. Join us as we dive into the oft-overlooked late 90s gem.

Greg is off enjoying his 40th birthday week! so it's a re-release this week, but a timely... time(?) to catch up on the OG Ghostbusters episode.
It was only a matter of time before we covered this 80s icon. When we talk about revisiting the movies that impacted us as kids, they don't make them much bigger than this - but it's easy to take for granted the beautiful absurdity of this movie getting made in the 80s, when big budget special effects comedy was simply unheard of. We of course dive deep into this film's rich origin story, as well its cultural legacy today - but perhaps most importantly, we dive into the tin-foil-hat-wearing-lovable-crackpot that is Dan Aykroyd and his obsession with ghosts and aliens that made this movie possible in the first place.
