Frankie Boyle - Distraction Pieces Podcast with Scroobius Pip #117 Sep 27, 2016

Show notes

A triple-stack of welcomes upon your good self to this, the one hundred and seventeenth episode of the perpetually polished and buffed-up Distraction Pieces podcast with your host Mister Scroobius Pip!A powerful and shameless display of podcasting goodness this week with the highly requested, heavily demanded Frankie Boyle! Hold tight as Pip and Frankie (there's an animated crime-solving duo if ever there was one) summit the comedy mountain and check off all kinds of flags along the journey, including hip hop (UK and grime specifically) and how Frankie's made efforts to apply to skill and dedication of the music to his own craft, his comic leanings and influences, his image of being somewhat on the offensive side in UK comedy and how his comedy is often misconstrued, heroes in comedy, the reality of alcoholism, reality television and popular culture and all that these topics entail... A huge amount to tackle and all manoeuvred through with precision and skill. Lovely. Get into it.

Edith Bowman - Distraction Pieces Podcast with Scroobius Pip #116 Sep 20, 2016

Show notes

Welcome, welcome, welcome and good day to you, Team 3W! It is episode 116 of the radio friendly, golden voiced, always fine tuned Distraction Pieces podcast with Scroobius Pip, and this week you are treated the routinely awesome presenter Queen on high, Edith Bowman!Kicking things off with no delay by first delving deep into all things film geek, as Pip and Edith go head to head in their cinematic love and knowledge - and of course that doesn't end there, as the conversation meanders wonderfully through Edith's media journey and upbringing (through her many varied and high level presenting roles), but never drifts too far from film island. You can hear and feel Edith's passion for film and soundtracks permeate through every second of their talk, and it's a fascinating accompaniment to your hopefully already Edith-ful day to day listening. Enriching and inspiring goodness.••••• EDITH'S WEBSITE : http://www.edithbowman.com (and home of her 'Soundtracking' podcast) ••••• EDITH'S TWITTER :...
