    This week's episode features an interview with Greg Renoff, author of the 2015 book "Van Halen Rising: How a Southern California Backyard Party Band Saved Heavy Metal". He's about to release a brand new book along with legendary producer Ted Templeman called "Ted Templeman: A Platinum Producer’s Life in Music".
    Greg talks in-depth on Templeman who produced albums by several legendary bands and artists including The Doobie Brothers, Van Morrison, Montrose, Sammy Hagar, Van Halen, David Lee Roth, Aerosmith, Eric Clapton and more. Greg also shares some rare behind-the-scenes stories on the first six classic Van Halen albums with David Lee Roth plus shares his thoughts on the current state of the band and Edward Van Halen.

    U2's 'Achtung Baby' was the #1 album in December of 1991 and for plenty of reasons.     Fifty one years ago today (November 16th, 1968) the double album 'Electric Ladyland' from The Jimi Hendrix Experience hit number one on the US charts. It stayed at the top for two weeks.     Episode 34 | 'Led Zeppelin IV' Nov 09, 2019

    It's the biggest selling album in the United States that never went to number one on the charts. Hard to believe but 'Led Zeppelin IV' never topped the charts. It did, however, go on to become one of the biggest albums in the history of rock and roll.
    Released on November 8th, 1971this iconic album features eight classic songs including one epic track that has gone on to become one of if not THE most famous rock song of all time "Stairway to Heaven".

    We celebrate the life and career of Ric Ocasek who passed away at the age of 75 on September 15th. Ocasek is responsible for writing some of the most iconic songs in rock history as a member of The Cars including "Just What I Needed", ""My Best Friend's Girl", "Good Times Roll", "Let's Go", "Shake It Up", "Since You're Gone", "You Might Think", "Drive", "Magic" and many more.
    In this episode we go back to Ric's childhood, his early days with bands Milkwood and Cap'n Swing, his rise to fame with The Cars right through to his solo career and more.
    The legendary singer/songwriter of The Cars took us on quite a ride. Gone but not forgotten, this is the story of Ric Ocasek.
