Sonoma: Another Surprise Winner Coming? Jun 06, 2024
    Show notes

The first round of The Denny Hamlin Bracket Challenge had some surprise upsets. None bigger than Austin Dillon knocking off the two seed, Martin Truex Jr. With that upset, Tampa Timms came dressed in Austin Dillon gear to pay off his bet.

NASCAR is headed to Sonoma this weekend, and it’s hard to tell what to expect. With the new re-paved road course, The Professor explains why practice and qualifying are important to watch this weekend.

The Professor also breaks down his predictor model. In tier one is: Chase Elliott, Tyler Reddick, Martin Truex Jr., William Byron, and Christopher Bell. Tampa Timms agrees with these drivers being at the top but explains why he won’t bet on any of them to win pre-race.

Last week, Austin Cindric got his first win of the season, and Steve believes that could be the start of summer races won by first-time winners this year. One driver who hasn’t won a points race this year but everyone believes Vegas gave out a bad line on is Joey Logano at +4500, and Tampa Timms will be betting that pre-race.

A longshot for a top-10 is Justin Haley at +350. The guys have their eyes on Bubba Wallace and Brad Keselowski as possible top-10 bets also.

While it’s hard to handicap who might win, Steve believes this race is perfect for matchup bets. The number one head-to-head bet on his list is William Byron (-115) vs Ty Gibbs (-115).

The guys also discuss why the drivers who tested at Sonoma have an advantage and whether a driver could win stages 1 or 2 and the race.

Plus, The Memorial Tournament in Dublin, Ohio, began on Thursday, and the guys have a couple of bets.

Is This The Week To Bet On Martin Truex Jr.? May 30, 2024
    Show notes

Although many people were unhappy about the Coca-Cola 600 being shortened due to rain, Tampa Timms didn't mind. The NASCAR Cup Series is headed to Gateway this week, and The Professor goes through his model. At the top is Martin Truex Jr., who is searching for his first win of the season. Rounding out tier 1 is: Kyle Larson, Denny Hamlin, and Ryan Blaney. One driver not at the top that Tampa Timms has his eyes on to bet on winning is Brad Keselowski.

Denny Hamlin has finished in the top 5 in the last four races, and Tampa Timms is betting on him to continue that streak. Another driver he will bet on once again is Alex Bowman for a top-10 finish at plus money.

The guys are then joined by Nick Giffen from the Action Network to find out who he likes to win or, at the very least, finish in the top 10.

The Denny Hamlin Bracket Challenge is back for the second year. The guys pick who will win but also go through the entire bracket, discussing possible sleepers, upsets, and a whole lot more.

Producer Travis is thinking about pulling the trigger on Truex Jr. to finish as the top Toyota at +400, while Tampa Timms has a couple of possible bets for the top Ford finisher.

Steve is keeping an eye on Ryan Preece in the Open race, while Tampa Timms believes Josh Berry will perform well. Darlington: Can Ford Find Victory Lane? May 09, 2024
    Show notes

Steve Letarte recaps Kansas and explains how timing and scoring works. Michael McDowell is on the move and will join Spire next year, leaving Front Row. The guys decide if Travis pulled a Rick Allen earlier in the week on a hockey bet or if he is safe. NASCAR is off to Darlington this weekend and at the top of the predictor is Kyle Larson and Denny Hamlin. One name the Professor and Vegas disagree on is Joey Logano. Tampa Timms thinks there is value in the Fords this weekend. Erik Jones returns to his car after breaking his back and Steve and Travis have a friendly wager on where he will finish. Can Noah Gragson find another top-10 finish? Steve thinks Alex Bowman will find Victory Lane this year. Tampa Timms and Travis already placed a bet on Chase Elliott against Ross Chastain in a head-to-head bet. Steve is avoiding McDowell’s average finishing position this week. Is Bubba Wallace snake-bitten? Plus, double top-10 bets.

Kansas: How To Bet The Favorites May 02, 2024
    Show notes

NASCAR is headed to Kansas this weekend and Steve Letarte and the guys have all you need to know before placing any. Will 23XI's run of success at Kansas Speedway continue? Tampa Timms has an interesting strategy for how he plans to bet on any of the favorites. It's a tough weekend if you like to bet top 10s. Martin Truex Jr. might be worth a pre-race bet. Is this a week you should fade Christopher Bell? Steve's bet of the week is an RFK matchup. Take William Byron or Denny Hamlin in any matchup where they are the underdog. Plus, we're looking at the average finishing position for Daniel Suarez and Michael McDowell, and some prop bets.

Dover: Fade Kyle Busch & This is Truex's Weekend Apr 25, 2024
    Show notes

Steve Letarte and the guys hope things turn around after a tough weekend at Talladega. NASCAR is headed to Dover this weekend, and the usual suspects are at the top of The Professor's Predictor. At the top is Martin Truex Jr., who is looking for his first win of the season. Joining him in tier 1 are: Chase Elliott, Kyle Larson, Denny Hamlin, and William Byron. Can Alex Bowman end his winless streak? Something isn't right at RCR. The Professor and Vegas don't see eye-to-eye on Christopher Bell. How does Corey Heim have better odds than 7-time champion Jimmie Johnson? Tampa Timms is staying away from top 10 bets.

The guys preview head-to-head matchups that include Ross Chastain, Ty Gibbs, and Tyler Reddick, among others.

Steve's favorite prop bet is finally back this week. Can a driver win stage 1 or 2 and the race? Plus, drivers to lead a lap, drivers on lead lap at the finish, lead changes and more.

Plus, we have a new bet to consider: the average finishing position for Martin Truex Jr., William Byron, Michael McDowell, Bubba Wallace, and Brad Keselowski.

    Talladega: A Longshot's Dream? Apr 18, 2024
    Show notes

NASCAR is off to Talladega this weekend, which means anything can happen. Or is that no longer true? The Professor breaks down his model for the week. One glaring discrepancy between The Professor’s model and the sportsbooks is Brad Keselowski. The Professor thinks the books are too high on Keselowski at Talladega.

Tampa Timms gives his approach to NASCAR gambling at an unpredictable track. One driver he likes is Chase Elliott to repeat. Steve Letarte has his eyes on Todd Gilliland, Erik Jones and Justin Haley as possible longshot bets. There’s no practice for the NASCAR Cup Series this weekend at Talladega, just qualifying, and Steve has a few drivers he likes, which got Timms to live bet on qualifying during the taping of the show.

Could we see another NASCAR Cup Series race go to overtime? How many cars from each manufacturer will finish in the top 10? Plus, can Austin Hill find Victory Lane in the NASCAR Xfinity Series again? Or, is there another Xfinity driver you should be looking out for when placing your bets?

Texas: Value on Bubba, Byron vs Larson, & The MASTERS Apr 12, 2024
    Show notes

The Professor cleaned up at Martinsville, winning two side bets, earning him a two-steak dinner from Steve Letarte and some Dirty Mo swag from Tampa Timms. NASCAR is off to Texas this week and the boys are all about value. Kyle Larson, William Byron, and Denny Hamlin are heavy favorites, but there's value in the next tier of drivers, especially Christopher Bell, Ross Chastain, and Bubba Wallace. Is this the week Bubba gets it done? Or, will the favorites prevail anyway? Tampa Timms has his Top 10 lock of the week, plus more sports betting with The Masters happening through the weekend.

Martinsville: Betting On Hendrick, Lock of the Week & Josh Berry Apr 04, 2024
    Show notes

Richmond was a great race for Tampa Timms as he cashed out a bet on Logano mid-race and then live bet Denny Hamlin to win. NASCAR is off to Martinsville this weekend and The Professor's model agrees with Las Vegas. Denny Hamlin and Kyle Larson sit in tier 1. Behind them are: Christopher Bell, Ryan Blaney, Martin Truex Jr, William Byron and Joey Logano. Could Josh Berry cash in and get his first win? Or better to bet Berry top 10? The Professor and Steve have a friendly wager. Tampa Timms has his lock of the week. Did the books miss the mark on the matchup of Chase Briscoe vs Josh Berry? Why you should take Ross Chastain against Tyler Reddick. Plus, more sports betting with the Final Four and the Valero Texas Open.
