DFSR's Doug Norrie and James Davis take to the NBA pod to discuss a smaller slate of NBA action. This late in the season there are still a few teams playing for the playoffs and seeding, while others are actively tanking. The Magic are in a great spot tonight against the terrible Nets and basically Orlando's entire starting five is in play for cash games. Aaron Gordon likely becomes the chalk play of the bunch, but you can consider all of the Magic tonight. Jimmy Butler, Giannis and Karl-Anthony Towns highlight the big money plays tonight and it should be fine fitting in their salaries with some other value rounding out the slate. It’s a packed Tuesday pod with the NBA returning from their relative one-day hiatus. It’s late in the season but a lot of the teams going tonight actually have things to play for. The guys talk about some of the bigger money plays like Lebron, Jimmy Butler, Giannis and what to make of New Orleans tonight with some injury stuff hanging out there. They also discuss some of the punt-style point guards like Ron Baker, Matthew Dellavedova and Jamal Murray. Then there’s whether Russell Westbrook is just too expensive now. Finally Doug jumps on with PGA writer Chris Durell to discuss this weekend’s Masters and how you can begin putting lineups together for DraftKings and FanDuel.

DFSR’s Doug Norrie and James Davis take to the NBA to discuss a five game slate of NBA action for FanDuel and DraftKings. For such a short slate there are a bunch of bad defenses going like the Nets, Suns and Lakers. The Pistons have some value highlighted by Ish Smith if Reggie Jackson were to sit again tonight. He’s still coming rather cheap on both sites considering he should see a lion’s share of the point guard minutes. The Timberwolves are also in a great spot against a bad Lakers team with Karl-Anthony Towns, Andrew Wiggins and Gorgui Dieng all looking solid for cash games. There’s some blowout rid though which you’ll want to be mindful of. And finally they discuss what should be a high octane game between the Rockets and Trailblazers and whether James Harden will be a chalk cash game play.

DFSR’s Doug Norrie and James Davis take to a Tuesday pod to talk a packed night in the NBA. The game of the night is clearly the Warriors and the Rockets. James Harden likely becomes a big money chalk play on a night with a ton of value in other positions. The guys discuss how to view Harden, if Eric Gordon and Lou Williams get more minutes and whether we see big run out of the Warriors’ big three in Curry, Klay and Draymond. Other value creeping up comes from the Hawks against the Suns with Tim Hardaway, Taurean Prince and Ersan Ilyasova all still coming cheap for high minutes’ upside. They start with a discussion on why DraftKings may have left off the two 10:30 games from their main slate and how that could show a change in how the industry views NBA injury news. After that, there’s an embarrassment of riches in terms of value tonight with a bunch of big money guys in plays matchups. James Harden leads the list, taking on a New Orleans team that he lit up for 70+ fantasy points just last week. The two most interesting games, from a DFS perspective come early with Toronto-Miami and Brooklyn-Phoenix. The Heat will be without Dion Waiters again which puts Goran Dragic, James Johnson and Josh Richardson firmly in play. Toronto will be without a suspended Serge Ibaka leaving (potentially) more shots for Demar Derozan, PJ Tucker and Cory Joseph. The guys also break down a Suns-Nets game that should see Tyler Ulis, Devon Booker and others with big upside against a terrible Nets’ team. All of this and more.

The first question to ask is whether we should pay all the way up for Russell Westbrook after his disappointing games against the Warriors on Monday. OKC is big favorites against the Sixers in a game that could turn into a blowout early. Other games to focus on include the Hawks and Wizards. Atlanta is still without Paul Millsap and Kent Bazemore, leaving plenty of minutes for guys like Tim Hardaway, Ersan Ilyasova, Thabo Sefolosha and Taurean Prince. John Wall also makes for an excellent DraftKings play. There’s all of this an more as DFSR breaks down every game. Dwayne Wade is out for the rest of the season meaning Jimmy Butler gets a major bump in expected usage and Rajon Rondo likely seeing continued huge minutes at the starting point guard. Also, Isaiah Thomas will sit for the Celtics putting Marcus Smart in as the starter. He’s likely a chalk play with the rest of the Celtics seeing moderate usage bumps against a dreadful Brooklyn team. They also spend time discussing what to make of the Pelicans tonight against the Rockets in a game that features the highest over/under of the evening. Then at the 45:20 mark Doug jumps on with Chris Durell to talk this weekend’s NASCAR Camping World 500.

Blake Griffin, DeAndre Jordan, Danilo Gallinari and Wilson Chandler all sitting out tonight. That’s going to open up a ton of value from that game in particular. Will Barton, Juan Hernangomez and Marreese Speights all come in as strong value plays. Additionally, Kristaps Porzingis will sit for the Knicks opening up usage considerations for Carmelo Anthony, Derrick Rose and Willy Hernangomez.
