Nuggets Numbers - Nikola Jokic says Merry Christmas to Serbia Jan 07, 2020

Show notes

The Denver Nuggets desperately needed a victory over the Atlanta Hawks on Monday night, and the best way for Nikola Jokic to make that happen was to simply dominate.

Dominate he did, as the Serbian center scored 47 points, a career high, on Serbia's Christmas day, a wonderful gift to Jokic's countrymen and women. He showcased exactly why he's the best center in the NBA and why the bar for his performance has just been increased.

In this episode, I discuss Jokic's amazing night, along with the rest of the Denver-Atlanta game, including some worrisome defense once again. Finally, I do a mini Q&A from questions I received on Twitter concerning Jokic, Paul Millsap, and Denver's defense at large.

Enjoy!

Nuggets Numbers - 2019 was one of the best years in Denver Nuggets history Dec 31, 2019

Show notes

2019 is almost at an end. The Denver Nuggets will face the Houston Rockets tonight in their last game of the calendar year, and what a year it has been. I took over as Site Manager just under four months ago, and ever since then, the ride has been absolutely crazy. Thanks to all of the listeners of the Denver Stiffs podcast network. We appreciate each and every one of you.

In this episode of Nuggets Numbers, I spend the first segment discussing what Denver's future may look like with Michael Porter Jr. as a key member of the team. His debut as a starter sent ripples around the NBA and showcased just a bit of his potential as a versatile scorer.

Then in the second segment, I discuss my 10 favorite Nuggets moments of 2019 at length, ranging from scoring outbursts from Jamal Murray to playoff growth for Nikola Jokic and the rest of the team.

Nuggets Numbers - Seven games in a row Dec 24, 2019

Show notes

The Denver Nuggets winning streak has reached seven games. Five "take care of business" wins at home, a beatdown of the Lakers in Los Angeles, and a thriller in Phoenix against the Suns. The Nuggets proved a lot over these last seven games, so I decided to break down the numbers of the seven game win streak for each rotation player. I discussed a bit of Michael Porter Jr. in the rotation as well and took a stance on his rotation spot that may surprise some people.

Apologies for the rough voice.
