Elizabeth is a formally educated dental technician, and holds a teaching credential in Heath Science and Related Technologies from the State of California. Elizabeth will be celebrating 42 years as a dental technician on Sept. 15.

She is a Board Certified Dental Laboratory Technician, Ceramic Specialty from the US National Board of Certification in Dental Laboratory Technology and a Registered Dental Technician Qualification with the UK General Dental Council and is a member of the ACP Technician Alliance.

During the course of her tenure Elizabeth has helped expand and identify the scope of dental technicians in the dental profession. Examples of her involvement include:

553 The Potential Future of Dental Biomaterials with Kyle Vining : Dentistry Uncensored with Howard Farran Oct 25, 2016

Dr. Kyle Vining is a dentist-scientist from Brookline, MA. He is a Fellow at the Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences and the Wyss Institute for Biologically Inspired Engineering, where he is completing his Ph.D. with Professor David Mooney. Kyle practices general dentistry at a multi-specialty private group practice in Brookline, MA.

Kyle's research goal is to discover new insights about biology and improve ways to treat disease by investigating how materials interface with biology. Kyle and his colleague Adam Celiz from the University of Nottingham recently won a prize at the Royal Society of Chemistry's Emerging Technologies Competition in London, UK for their dental material technology that may one day lead to regenerative treatments in restorative dentistry. They are developing a therapeutic dental biomaterial that can be placed in contact with vital pulp tissues to stimulate native dental stem cells to regenerate or repair dentin.

Kyle was also recently awarded a K08 Mentored Clinical Scientist Research Career Development Award from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to fund his Ph.D. thesis on how the mechanical properties of tissue affect stem cells' ability to suppress the immune system. Prior to working in the Boston area, Kyle completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery training with High Distinction from the University of Minnesota, as well as a one-year research fellowship in the NIH Medical Research Scholars Program.

Daniel A. 'Danny' Bobrow, MBA (finance), MBA (marketing) is CEO American Dental Corp. He is also Executive Director of Climb for a Causetm and the SmileTreetm, and the 888NowSmile (www.888NowSmile.com) patient referral portal.

Danny's been published in Dental Economics, Dental Products Report, Dental Town, Dental Compare, Dentistry Today, and many other profession-related publications.

He is also a Certified mediator and arbitrator, personal trainer, health and nutrition coach, and member of the National Ski Patrol and International Mountain Bike Association.

He served pro bono for several agencies including; the Better Business Bureau, Youth Justice Institute, Center For Conflict Resolution, Illinois Department of Human Rights, the Circuit Court System of the City of Chicago, and Loyola University School of Law. Dr. Selvan has had an innate and deep seated passion for science and the nature around him since first grade. Dr.Selvan has had a long journey in dentistry since graduating from Dental school in India back in 1988 with a BDS degree. He was selected for an Orthodontic postdoctoral program in Wisconsin but he couldn't pursue it for financial reasons. He went on to completing the advanced standing course at NYU attaining his DDS degree in 1992. Due to his keen interest in Hospital dentistry, he proceeded to complete a hospital based Residency program at Mt. Sinai Hospital, New York city in 1993, where he was exposed to Anesthesiology, oral surgery, TMJ and OR surgeries and protocols.

From there on he worked in and around Philadelphia as a general dentist in various dental practices for 6 years. Armed with this experience and the arsenal of clinical, administrative and business skills he decided to open his own private practice in New Jersey where he practices to this day. He is the current president of the New Jersey chapter of the Academy of general dentistry and was recognized through an award for Life long service and recognition by the Academy of General Dentistry in Boston in July 2016. He was also awarded his Fellowship and Mastership through the Academy of General Dentistry. He also has a fellowship with the ICOI (International College of Oral Implantologists). He is a very hardworking, dedicated, passionate, caring, and a talented dentist with an eye for detail and a spirit for perfection in everything he does.

He was the Past Director of Professional Responsibility courses and Past Editor in Chief of the Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine GPR Literature Review Journal. He has been awarded 6 Fellowships: Academy of General Dentistry, American Endodontic Society, International Congress of Oral Implantologists, American Society of Osseointegration, American College of Legal Medicine and American College of Dentists. Dr. Arthur Bilenker is a private practice dentist from Cranford New Jersey who also happens to be the Chief Dental Officer for the New York Army Nation Guard. Dr. Bilenker, a 1982 grad of FDU dental School also teaches part time at Rutgers Dental School in Newark NJ for the past nine years. He is the current Chairman of the New Jersey Dental Association Council on Dental Benefits which deals with dental insurance, government regulation and the evolution of corporate dentistry. He has been on that committee for the past 12 years. Dr. Bilenker has lectured since 1996 on emerging dental technologies and currently lectures on the evolving dental insurance marketplace and how it is affecting private practice.

Howard met Dr. Bilenker a few years ago one night through Marc Daichman of Asteto Dent Labs. He gave the first lecture on Dental Insurance issues and then I gave the second lecture.

After qualifying from Leeds Dental School in 1996, Dr Harry Singh followed the traditional VT, Associate and Principal routes in dentistry, owning three dental practices along the way. Amongst these was 'Aesthetics', an award-winning private practice in Hertfordshire. Like most dentists, Harry was making good money; however, it left him working long hours and missing out on family time, hobbies, holidays, going to the gym, healthy eating, etc. Even when Harry was away from the practice, he found himself thinking about patient emergencies or complaints, as well as staff issues. Feeling alone on a professional level and unhappy with his lifestyle, Harry sought to make a change so, as well as practicing dentistry, he started to invest in property and stumbled upon some professional property secrets that helped to develop his business interests. Over a 2-year period Harry bought 27 properties and sold 6. The profits from these deals allowed him to buy into dental practices and set up 2 squat practices. The passive income that these properties brought in covered all of his financial commitments, enabling him to reduce his clinical dentistry hours and to spend more time with his family and on himself. Eventually he found that he was making more money from property and practicing dentistry two days a week, rather than full-time. Last year he retired from dentistry to concentrate on the property side of his work. He now has a property portfolio valued at around £7 million, yielding a passive income of £8000 per month. Understanding that many dentists feel as isolated and trapped as he did, Harry wants to 'give something back' to his dental colleagues via the Dental Property Club, which is designed to share with members the information, expertise and knowledge he has gathered along the way.
