Spreading Joy Through the World of Dentistry With Dr. Natalia Trisna Jul 14, 2020

Dr. Natalia Trisna is a practicing dentist from London, Ontario. She has travelled the world providing volunteer dentist services in Indonesia, the Philippines, Nepal, Bhutan and Uganda. After being inspired by her travels, Dr. Natalia recently founded The Travelling Dentists, a non-profit dedicated to pairing those in dentistry to volunteer opportunities worldwide.

Dr. Natalia was awarded the Colgate Award for Dental Research, the Australian Dental Research Foundation Award, The Noel Martin Memorial Prize in Dentistry and her research on paediatric dentistry is soon to be published in the Australian Dental Journal.

Having just moved from Sydney, Australia, she is enjoying her new life in Canada and looks forward to meeting new patients. She also brought her dog, Pancakes, a cavoodle with her. In her spare time, Dr Trisna enjoys cooking, baking, and researching for new holiday destinations.

Innovator Allison Lacoursiere, RDA, OA, CPC, ELI-MP is the creator of the Clear Aligner Systemization methodology. Allison helps dentists and teams streamline efficiencies to increase both patient and practice satisfaction and health.

A native Canadian, Allison moved to Bermuda at the age of 19 to work as a dental assistant and to seek adventure and try something new. She incorporated a system in that practice that generated $80K/ month in clear aligner production.

With over a decade of dental practice experience, Allison is a sought-after mentor and speaker. She helps dental teams improve culture, increase production, and grow into their full potential. She is certified through International Professional Excellence in Coaching and is a member of the International Coaches Federation. Allison is a member of Toastmasters International and also has trained with Dale Carnegie Speaking Institution. She is a Certified Transformational Trainer through Lionspeak.

Allison is passionate about fitness and wellness. She is an active team member and competitor of the Bermuda National Volleyball Team. Allison is also a certified personal trainer and yoga instructor. Her passion lies in empowering individuals to achieve their ultimate potential and life satisfaction.

Teeth Talk with Whitney aka Teeth Talk Girl 🦷 Jun 09, 2020

Whitney is a dental hygienist who is known as the "Teeth Talk Girl" on social media. Her YouTube videos (YouTube.com/TeethTalk) and website articles (teethtalkgirl.com) focus on educating the general public on dental health. With her background in acting, she also enjoys creating dental office skits and parody videos to entertain dental professionals. In addition, Whitney has recently co-founded a company called "Happy Teeth" which will include purses, bags, and accessories. The most exciting part is that for every item purchased - an oral health kit will be donated to someone in need. Whitney lives, breathes, and dreams about teeth and is happy to be sharing her journey! 😁🦷

The Alchemist Dentist ~ Dr. Jessica Metcalfe May 18, 2020

Dr. Jessica E. Metcalfe is a Full-Time Staff Dentist, Education Director,
Special Projects Manager, and Clinical Investigator at Princess Margaret
Cancer Centre in the Department of Dental Oncology and Maxillofacial
Prosthetics. She is an international lecturer on the topics of treating the
cancer patient. She has a special interest in head and neck cancer
patients. She is also a part-time instructor at the University of Toronto
Dental School. Dr. Metcalfe has always been ambitious and driven and yet
there was always this distressing feeling that she felt like a fraud or the
fear of being found out. What she soon learned is that these are common
thoughts associated with The Impostor Phenomenon (IP). Dr. Metcalfe has
since pursued understanding The Impostor Phenomenon, who it affects
and the strategies for self-management resources. Dr. Metcalfe’s passion
is to work with Dentists to overcome these thoughts so they too can
recognize their capabilities and accomplishments.

Talking to Tami O'Connell RDH about her "lightbulb" moment and pivot into jewelry design. ✨ May 14, 2020

Tami O’Connell is a clinical Dental Hygienist and has been for thirty years. She loves the reward of walking patients through their oral health journey and developing trusting relationships to help them overcome their fears and anxieties about dental work. To see them from start to finish and continue on for every dental cleaning thereafter with a beautiful smile is priceless!

Last year, a lightbulb went off in her head and she realized that she wanted to empower women in her own industry, women in dentistry. To help promote them by making custom fine jewelry and making unique jewelry with their custom insignias and logo’s. To make them feel special and proud of their accomplishments..
It took some courage, convincing, and some proof that she had a viable business model before her husband was with her on this idea because he knew how much effort, time and money was needed to design, create, manufacture, and sell a jewelry line since he was in the fine Jewelry industry himself.
After three decades, she would have to put her clinical tools down and replace them with design sketches, CAD renderings, and golden medallions and chains and learn what it takes to be an entrepreneur.

Dr. Sunayna Gupta was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. After graduating from the University of Manitoba in 2011, she knew early on she wanted a practice of her own that focused not only on quality treatment, but above all, operated on one sole principle – be kind. In 2018 Dr. Sunayna became owner of Niverville Heritage Dental Centre, leading an all female team, and showing everyone what a group of women can accomplish when they love what they do and who they are doing it with. When she’s not fixing teeth and smiles, you can find her running her own successful personal shopping business, House of Nayna, teaching women how to look and FEEL amazing in the body they have NOW. She is a mother of two, a wife, daughter, sister, and friend. We talk about being multi-passionate and moms AND MORE.
