Show notes

Welcome back to dead and bored!

Today we start the magical journey of Are you afraid of the dark, a kids show that aired on Nickelodeon in the early 90s.

Before that we do a 9ish min catch up with us and we go over where we have been and what the hell is going on!

So for this series we will go episode by episode terribly and painstakingly breaking down all the things that you never wanted to know while always taking longer than the actual 25 minute episode, and this episode features 3 kids an evil clown kinda? and a creepy as hell Carnival owner and a tale of theft and cigars will leave you..... something?

And remember it’s the most fun in the park when you are laughing in the dark!!

The Shining (1980) May 13, 2020

Show notes

Welcome back for todays exciting episode where we discuss Stanley Kubricks "masterpiece" The Shining for the second time because we had to re-record because of audio issues YAY!

We deep dive into everyone else's favorite not a horror movie and talk about long dramatic shots and scenes that should have taken about 10 minutes less, while throwing a few tangents about an industrial kitchens with massive cans of fruit and creamed corn, how Jack hates his family before he gets possessed, how shelly needs some dry shampoo, bothering cops over a radio, Danny needing adult supervision and chain smoking for months straight. Most importantly that this movie has no story and stuff just kind of slowly happens.

We hope you enjoy our deep decent into our hatred of this movie!

Demolition Man (1993) Apr 18, 2020

Show notes

Welcome back!

Today we talk about the Sylvester Stallone classic? Demolition man! What is a better way to escape horror movies for a few minutes? And because it is an action movie there is really not much to the story so we spend most of our time talking about the environment and the world around John Spartan and less about the lack of character development and cheesy jokes and lots of property damage. We get sidetracked a ton in this one and try a new format that allows more nitpicking and less about the story, let us know what you think for any one off movies.

Tune in next week for our twitter poll winner the shining.

Scream 3 (2000) Mar 27, 2020

Show notes

Hello and welcome back to the end of the scream trilogy..... even though there is a 4th.

Today we dive into the worst of the trilogy of Ghostface and dig up a bunch of crap that happened before the first movie because that always goes very well.

Please enjoy as we dig way to deep into 100% cotton and who he was before everything started, how sometimes going into the past is realllllllyyy not a good idea, a hit tv show idea, that Hollywood just isn't worth it and the most important.... maybe you should just get over it and move on with your life.

Seriously thanks for listening.

Tune in next week for a much better episode.

Scream 2 (1997) Mar 18, 2020

Show notes

Hello there!

Welcome back to possibly the first mistake of the day but since you are here why not stay around and listen, today we talk about Scream 2!

It's a sequel that is aware about how sequels are always not great and guess what? they are right! We break down the weird character choices, how things are really obvious, tons of bad decisions and how is Sidney even able to go outside and function like an actual person?

But we really spend the most time yelling about Randy so enjoy I guess!

Tune in next week for a much better episode.
