It all began with a listener email. A simple question. What Tumblr fandom would be best to study for a school project? It should have had a simple answer. But dozens of data points, a 20-fandom bracket, and many vibe checks later, and the answer turned out to not be so simple. In order to help a listener, Cher and Lauren look at the top 20 fandoms on Tumblr and try to scientifically and unscientifically determine the most interesting one for scholarship. Is it the enormous BTS? The long-standing Supernatural? The wild card Sims 4? The answer may-- well, actually, the answer probably won't surprise you, but the journey will be fun. We promise.
