Show notes

Elder Christofferson guides us through the noise of adversity to the signal of our relationship with Christ and teaches us not to be victims. Using the examples of Job, Abraham, Joseph of Egypt, and Joseph Smith as they use their adversity to strengthen their relationship with the Lord. Identity and The Gospel - General Conference Commentary Apr 11, 2022

Show notes

The West, through nefarious ideologies of identity, is systematically being broken down by society, family, and the individual. We live in a world imagined and framed by Marcuse and Foucault. The Brethren seem to counter this with their placement of "Child of God" as the primary identity of each of us. This Eternal Identity is used in conjunction with and superior to other identities such as race and sexual orientation.

Easter Week Should Be Seen as a Royal Procession, Coronation, and Temple Experience

The last week of Jesus' mortal life takes on more meaning when we see it through the lens of ancient rituals and the temple. This week is Royal Procession and Coronation, something the people were very familiar with. It also follows the holiest day and ordinance of The Day of Atonement. This week is also better understood by placing it into the frame of our temple experience.

Come Follow Me LDS - Exodus 14-17 Moses and The Red Sea Apr 07, 2022

Show notes

The Lord Intervenes In Our Lives

The Lord tells Moses and the Children of Israel to "camp by the sea." The Children of Israel are then concerned for their lives with nowhere to run from the Egyptians. The Lord then intervenes and has His prophet "divide the sea." The Lord works in the same manner in our own lives. The Children of Israel "murmur" again and again regardless of knowing that the Lord is with them. Amalek may be the origin of the Nephite dissident factions. We all should sustain the prophet and hold up his arms.

Corrupting The Doctrine of Heavenly Mother - General Conference Commentary Apr 05, 2022

Show notes

Elder Renlund Offers Clarity on the Doctrine of Heavenly Mother Elder Renlund opens by confirming that we have a Heavenly Mother. That is the doctrine. But then shows how "speculation" on that doctrine can take us too far as it has for several. Is this what has happened previously in gospel history? Is this a repeating pattern? Is it impossible for us in mortality to worship a Heavenly Mother? We talk about "Asherah" in the Old Testament and the Tree of Life in Lehi's Dream.

A BYU professor made a false and malicious accusation online in regards to a voicemail he received from a deep-voiced man. He more than alludes that this was Greg Matsen of Cwic Media, a "YouTuber" that had "harassed" his colleagues. The voicemail has been heard by over 40,000 people. The professor knew exactly what he was doing. We play the voicemail in this episode.

This is the same professor who threatened BYU students with the Honor Code Office in regards to the leaked "whiteness" activity we covered in a previous episode. In addition, we analyze the professor's radical, Critical Race Theory supporting tweets.

Come Follow Me LDS - Exodus 7-13, Moses, the Plagues, & The Rod Mar 29, 2022

Show notes

The Rod Represents The Priesthood

The rod that turned to a serpent on the Mountain acts as a symbol of the true priesthood. The demonstration in front of Pharaoh with the serpents is yet another display of the true priesthood vs the imitation priesthood of the world. This theme is carried through the plagues. The "magicians" (Egyptian priests) cannot reverse the plagues with their priesthood. The "Passover" foreshadows the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ and the Sacrament.
