God's Patriarchy, Kolob, and Flattening The Hierarchy Aug 21, 2023

Show notes

God has a Patriarchy. It is His order, priesthood, and word. Abraham chapter 3 helps define this Patriarchy with the parallelism of cosmology and spirits. This is the "DBR" of God. Kolob is simply the beginning of the order.

When Lehi says, "There must be opposition in all things," he is not speaking of just opposites. He is speaking of everything in between. This allows for order, truth, and hierarchy/patriarchy. The adversary wishes to "flatten the hierarchy" of God and to create a forced outcome, "Equity."

If you love the gospel, I believe you will enjoy this video. It gathers the truths of the visions of the scriptures and applies them to our day. To "Equity" and to the Philosophies of Men.

Abuse In The LDS Church? Aug 18, 2023

Show notes

Jennifer Roach has some fascinating research and statistics on abuse in the Church that puts a wrench in the popular narrative that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has an oversized abuse problem.

Is the Church just trying to protect itself with its "Hotline?"

What about the new mandatory background checks in the UK and some US states?

Are they wise? And should the Church continue to have Bishop's interviews with youth?

The LDS Church and Political Neutrality Aug 17, 2023

Show notes

A couple of weeks ago, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints again issued a statement on its political neutrality. Will the Church be able to hold onto this neutrality as the world moves further away from gospel principles? Does this mean the members of the Church need to be politically neutral?

My good friend, Ralph Hancock, got his Ph.D. in political philosophy from Harvard and has been an icon teaching for over 30 years at BYU. We discuss these questions hatched from Ralph's recent presentation at the FAIR Conference. Enjoy!

Last week, the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals opened the door for the once-dead James Huntsman fraud lawsuit against The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. That lawsuit was filed and dismissed by a judge in 2021. Now it's back on the table.

What is tithing? Can tithing dollars be used for humanitarian aid? This and Gordon B. Hinckley's statements on funding the City Creek Center Mall are central to this lawsuit.

Women's Scar Experiment And Wokeness Aug 06, 2023

Show notes

The Women's Scar Experiment tells us much about ourselves and how Critical Social Justice works. As we hyperfocus on both immutable and mutable characteristics of others, we will find behaviors of oppression or supremacy where they don't exist.

This is a fascinating study. President Nelson's Identity Hierarchy is the antidote to this pernicious and Maoist type of thinking.

Critical Theory is built as a virus to destroy everything precious or part of the Order of God. It is the secular tool to destroy your spirit. Its tenets and praxis (activism) change one's entire world and worldview.

Latter-day Saint academics are already presenting a "Critical" approach to the Book of Mormon. We give examples of a Latter-day Saint academic using Critical Theory on Nephi and the Book of Mormon.

This is a teaser for a more exhaustive episode on Critical Theory and the Book of Mormon coming soon.

Molding A Teddy Bear Jesus - The Golden Calf As Jehovah Jul 16, 2023

Show notes

Scripture Notes - https://scripturenotes.com

Exodus 32 seems to point toward Jehovah as the Golden Calf. If so, we can look at the Children of Israel as not being willing to rise up Sinai to "see the face of God" like Moses. Rather, they bring God down to their level and mold Him into their own image with their own hands.

We can see their golden earrings as the philosophies of men or the current ideologies of the world. Much of Christianity, including many members of the Church, has already melted the gold and softened God/Jesus to be a Teddy Bear Jesus. But once hardened, He will become a bold and brash political Messiah. This is what happens when we "Critique" God (break Him down). He is softened and then infused with a new purpose.

Walk - Why There Are More Women Social Justice Warriors, Critiquing, The Breakdown of Everything Jul 13, 2023

Show notes

Privileged women are more susceptible to draw of Critical Social Justice due to Unbridled Compassion, guilt, and shame.

"Critiquing" is the process of breaking down and changing. We see this with Identity and with The Family.

Critical Theory forces you to decide between victim and oppressor.

Ultimately, with the Religion of Academia, you have to change God into your own image. A new idol. This is like the Golden Calf.

The noise in the background is bugs. Sounds like electricity.
