Ep 694 - Sparty Gets Shut Down; Ohio State Looms Nov 15, 2020
    Show notes

Scott and Galen recap a victorious and weirdly unsatisfying win over Michigan State. We talk about the oddity of expectations in this football season, and discuss the many positives that came out of Indiana's shutout victory at Spartan Stadium (a historic rarity!). The defense's continued evolution into a turnover-generating machine and the offense's reliance on momentum and field position each get discussed in kind.
We then turn our attention to the Ohio State game on the horizon, as we talk about the historical importance of the game, the realistic chances of IU in the game, and the motivational elements that the Hoosiers might take advantage of as they head into what is likely to be a battle of top ten teams.

Ep 693 - Michigan State Preview on The Friday Show Nov 13, 2020
    Show notes

The Friday Show is back with a fully armed and operational roster of guests, as Indiana Football carries a Top Ten ranking and a 3-0 record into their Week 4 showdown with a reeling Michigan State program. Joining the podcast today are three guests:

    - Olivia Ray of WISH-TV, who talks with us about what Tom Allen is doing that's connecting with current IU players, future IU recruits, and why Indiana is playing with so much confidence
    - Mike Miller from Crimson Quarry, who helps us put the Michigan State series into context and also discusses some of the encouraging signs from the Michigan game and what they might mean moving forward for IU

Ep 691 - Michigan Goes Down Hard Nov 08, 2020
    Show notes

Indiana won their tenth ever game against Michigan in resounding, confident fashion, cruising to a 38-21 win where the Hoosiers kept their foot on the gas for practically the entire contest. Scott and Galen relive the excitement of the victory, discussing the key moments in the contest and looking at the statistical dominance that IU was able to exert over a surprisingly pedestrian Wolverine squad.
We read a bunch of Twitter comments and questions, with particular questions about Tom Allen's long-term future, the impact that current success might have on future IU football teams, and more. We also throw in an impromptu drop-in at the end of the podcast when IU's first-ever top ten ranking in the coaches poll comes down the wire.

Ep 687 - Recapping the Rutgers Win Nov 01, 2020
    Show notes

Scott and Galen recap Indiana's 37-21 victory over Rutgers. We talk about the positives from the game, as the defense had another fine performance and the offense found some rhythm in key moments in the second half that proved Indiana to be clearly better than the Scarlet Knights. We also dissect some of the more problematic aspects of the game, including the struggling IU running game, some questionable offensive line play, and continued worries about a lack of attention to detail.
We also peek ahead to next week's game against Michigan, and discuss what that game will mean to both teams --- including the historical oddity of IU being ranked ahead of Michigan in a matchup.
