Ep 826 - More of the Same Feb 10, 2022

We also talk extensively about IU's recent offensive woes and what kind of a threat that poses to the rest of the season. Finally we discuss Indiana's current NCAA tournament positioning and what they need to do as the regular season comes to a close.

Ep 825 - B1G Overview with Thomas from BT Powerhouse Feb 01, 2022
    Show notes

Scott is joined by Thomas @tbeindit from BT Powerhouse @BTpowerhouse
They review IUBB's place in the B1G this season, why it's important to have IUBB relevant again and then look at most surprising and disappointing B1G teams, B1G Player of the year options, who is making the NCAA Tournament, and which B1G team could finally cash in and get a Championship.

    Ep 824 - Basketball Season Jan 30, 2022
    Show notes

Indiana had a pretty good week overall, recovering from the surprise blowout loss at home vs Michigan to knock off Penn State and Maryland in successive games. The Hoosiers now stand at 16 wins overall and 7 wins in conference play. Scott and Galen look back at the week that was and discuss some of the interesting or exciting trends in how the team is playing.
We also check out Indiana's current NCAA tournament status and discuss some of the implications of IU's current seeding projections.
Finally, we tackle some questions from the social media audience, including Xavier Johnson's play, Mike Woodson's in-game coaching, and Race Thompson's pro prospects.

Ep 823 - Hoosiers Win Hoosiers Win Hoosiers Win Jan 21, 2022
    Show notes

A rare next-day podcast from the CrimsonCast Brigade, as we revel in Indiana's three point victory over Purdue. There are so many storylines and emotions to unpack in this one --- the Rob Phinisee Redemption Game, the Mike Woodson Signature Win Game, the Assembly Hall Atmosphere Comeback game, and more --- that it's hard to know where to start the conversation.

    Ep 822 - Finally, A Road Win! Jan 19, 2022
    Show notes

CrimsonCast is back, talking IU basketball.
If you actually read the descriptions, my apologies, I got nothing for you today.y

    Ep 821 - CrimsonCraft: Picking a European Soccer Club Jan 15, 2022
    Show notes

THIS IS NOT AN INDIANA SPORTS EPISODE. Instead, Galen talks with longtime friend Sam Dewig, who is in the throes of deciding on a European soccer (football) team to support. And she has questions! Let's face it, European soccer is a bit confusing in how it is set up at the highest levels, even for those of us who have been following it for years. Sam asks the questions, Galen tries to give the answers to the best of his ability (even if he accidentally referred to the Supercoppa as the Coppa Italia at one point). If you're European football-curious, or even if you've just been through this whole process before yourself and want to relive it, you'll find something to like about this episode. And probably something to dislike, too.

Ep 820 - Basketball Rebounds; Football Retools Jan 10, 2022
    Show notes

On this episode, Scott and GC are back with:
    - A recap of the IU wins over Ohio State and Minnesota
    - A discussion of defense and lineups
    - Some Tamar Bates talk
    - A look at Trey Galloway's big return
    - An evaluation of the upcoming game vs Iowa
We also talk about football a bit, including:
    - The change at defensive coordinator
    - The influx of transfer players
    - The challenges facing IU football in the NIL era

Ep 819 - Rough Start to January Jan 04, 2022
    Show notes

Indiana lost at Penn State. Lots of people were irritated about the loss (justifiably so!) but is it a harbinger of larger issues or just a bump in the road? We talk about lessons from the game, as well as taking a look at IU's current NCAA tournament chances.

    Ep 818 - Holiday Episode Part 2 Dec 31, 2021
    Show notes

Happy New Year! Here's 45 minutes of food reviews, recipes, music thoughts, and some stray football and basketball observations.
Thanks to all of you for your continued support of CrimsonCast. We hope you have a tremendous end to 2021 and a better start to 2022.

    Ep 817 - Holiday Episode Part 1 Dec 24, 2021
    Show notes

A special Christmas Eve edition of CrimsonCast sees the guys recapping the Northern Kentucky game, before taking some questions from fans about a range of topics related to men's basketball and football. (The food and music questions have been moved to a different podcast which will appear later in the week). We discuss the surprise statistical aspects of the team, provide some analysis for IU's long-term offensive prospects in basketball, discuss how complete football's roster looks heading into 2022, and address some other questions brought up by you the listener.
Happy Holidays from CrimsonCast and the whole crew at the Back Home Network!
