I will be very happy when I pay off my debts. I will also be very happy when I reach the point I want to reach in my career. In my personal and professional relationships. Then I will be happy. The problem with my thinking is that I am robbing myself of happiness today, and you might be too. The only thing we have is the moment. Yesterday is gone and tomorrow is promised to no one.

Learn to be happy where you are right now. You might be faced with challenges, but this day will never return. In this moment is when you can make the change you want.

Go out and conquer your day and your week.

The only thing we really have in life is the time we have on Earth. Time is a valuable resource and it goes by very quickly. How are you spending your time right now? Worrying? Fearful?

The cause of all of your worries and fear boils down to two things. 1) What happened in your past and 2) Your unknown future.

We give so much energy to these two areas of our lives that we forget to live right now. Right in the moment. This is where you should be spending your time and energy because eventually our time here will be gone.

    Live in your moment.

There is so much power when First Responders start telling their stories of the challenges they have or currently face and the dark places they had to navigate along the way. There is hope and you are not alone. You are never alone.

Such an honor to have my friend Michael Sugrue back on the show. Michael has been in those dark places where he wanted to end his life. Michael did what so many don't do...He reached out for help.

Michael is now a dedicated advocate for awareness, prevention, education, training on Post Traumatic Stress Injury (PTSI) and First Responder Suicide Prevention. Michael continues to speak at law enforcement agencies all over the United States.
In his BEST-SELLING book, RELENTLESS COURAGE: Winning the Battle Against Frontline Trauma, along with Dr. Shauna Springer, PhD, they tackle the complexity of trauma within the law enforcement community, uncovering the unspoken barriers, and outline a path to healing.

We make decisions all the time. Some of the decisions we need to make we don't. We kick them down the road and hope they will solve themselves if we don't think about them. Procrastination. We are all guilty of it. Maybe it's a professional decision. Maybe its a personal decision. Maybe you need help with an addiction or you need to speak with someone about things your struggling with. Things don't have a chance to get better unless you act.

We have this one life. This one chance to make our mark and live the life we were born to live.

    Make the move forward. Act!
