A 6-year-old boy is dead after he was shot in an apparent road-rage attack in California. Kindergartener, Aiden Leos, was sitting in a booster seat in the back of the family’s car when another driver cut off Leos’ mother while they were in the carpool lane. She threw the other driver the finger in the rear-view mirror, according to police.
As the mother merged into another lane, a passenger believed to have been in that other vehicle fired a gun, striking Leos. The mother pulled over to the side of the road on northbound State Route 55 in Orange, southeast of Los Angeles. She cradled the child as he died in her arms. Investigators are searching for the other vehicle believed to be involved in the incident. It appeared to be a white Volkswagen wagon sedan, and its two occupants, a man, and a woman.

College student Mollie Tibbetts disappeared from the small Iowa town of Brooklyn. The 20-year-old woman former high school track star went out for an evening jog and never came home. After a month-long search, Tibbets' body is found in a cornfield, covered by stalks. The man who put Tibbetts there, led police to the body. The medical examiner concluded she died from "multiple sharp force injuries." Forensics expert Joe Scott Morgan explains the injuries.

Lawyers for the family of Kathleen McCormack Durst say they have new evidence to back claims that real estate heir Robert Durst’s brother and father helped him cover up his wife’s disappearance and death in 1982. Attorney Robert Abrams refused to share his information after the Westchester County District Attorney in New York announced she was reopening the cold case into Kathie Durst’s death. Robert Durst, 78, has long been suspected in his wife’s disappearance and death but has never been charged. He has been charged with the 2000 shooting death of his friend Susan Berman, who was reportedly preparing to reveal information about Kathie Durst’s death, as CrimeOnline previously reported. That trial has restarted after a 14-month delay over COVID concerns.

Home security footage helps police identify the alleged killing of a 4-year-old boy. Cash Germon was found lying in the middle of a street in his neighborhood. Cops say he died from violent injuries sustained from an “edged weapon.” The man arrested in the death, 18-year-old Darriynn Brown, is seen on Home security footage obtained by DailyMail taking a sleeping Cash out of his bed. Brown, later returned to the home and stood over Cash’s twin brother, Carter, even touching the boy on the head before he looking around the room and fleeing.

Tristyn Bailey, 13, was found dead Sunday evening, hours after her family reported her missing. Police arrested 14-year-old Aiden Fucci arrested earlier this week and charged him with second-degree murder in Bailey’s death.
The suspect and victim were reportedly seen walking together in the early hours of Sunday morning. Two hours later, the boy was seen walking alone, carrying his white shoes. He reportedly told police he was carrying the shoes because “his feet hurt.”
A local resident found Bailey’s body Sunday evening near a pond in a wooded area, reportedly less than a quarter-mile from Fucci’s home. Fucci and Bailey reportedly attended the same school and grew up in the same neighborhood. In autopsy findings announced Tuesday, a medical examiner determined that Bailey died of sharp blunt-force trauma, with homicide as the manner of death.
