How did Fresh and Salt Water Fish Survive the Flood? Jul 09, 2020

Show notes

If the whole Earth were covered by a worldwide Flood, there would have been no place for freshwater to survive. This seems like a huge problem until you examine the possibilities. First, many fish species can adjust to both fresh and saltwater conditions, even if this is not their preferred environment. Second, many species could have easily lost the ability to live in one environment over time. Third, there are multiple ways to preserve freshwater pools and lenses during the worldwide Flood. In the end, this is not a problem at all. Freshwater and saltwater fishes could easily survive this year-long watery catastrophe.

Are We Living in a Simulation? May 14, 2020

Show notes

Why are some people talking about ‘simulation theory’ (the idea that all of our universe is an illusion and we are living in a matrix)? Elon Musk said “there is a one in billions chance that this is base reality” as opposed to us living in a simulation. All of this simply presupposes evolutionary naturalism and extrapolates from that presupposition. A related assumption is that consciousness is just a product of matter (or algorithms), but the Bible and our experience indicate that humans are not reducible to our physical brains, let alone computer code.
